Study On The Space Strategies Of Brownfields Regeneration In Chinese Resource-based Cities

Under the background of the construction of Ecological Civilization,the sustainable development of resource-based cities and the management and regeneration of brownfield have received unprecedented attention.This paper takes China's "resource-based city" and its "brownfield cluster" as the research object,aiming at exploring the occurrence mechanism and regeneration strategy of brownfield problem in resource-based cities in China from the perspective of city and space.The main purposes of this thesis are as follows: firstly,combing the temporal and spatial context of the development and evolution of brownfield regeneration theory and practice;secondly,exploring,discovering and summarizing the spatial character and model of " brownfield cluster " in resource-based cities;thirdly,constructting a multi-level spatial strategy system for brownfield regeneration in resource-based cities.According to the depth of the study,the research samples are divided into four categories: literature sorting,spatial identification,field investigation and empirical research.Through artificial identification of remote sensing images,mapping of OSM urban spatial data and combing of industrial historical data,the related problems of resource-based cities' brownfield cluster are analyzed in depth.The results show that due to the special industrialization process of modern China,the First and Second Five-year Plan Period,the Third-line Construction and the Reform and Opening period,the brownfield cluster of resource-based cities in China is huge,complex and vague in structure,and its management and regeneration are affected by many factors.The spatial distribution of brownfield cluster in resource-based cities shows the general characteristics of "large dispersion,small aggregation and rare uniformity",and follows the general rules of spatial pattern determined by occurrence mechanism,spatial situation reflected by life cycle,spatial form influenced by leading industries,and spatial synergy restricted by geographical environment.Furthermore,this paper combs and summarizes the existing experience of brownfield regeneration from two aspects of theory and practice: in terms of theory,art,ecology,architecture,urban planning,landscape architecture and environmental engineering within the six disciplines of brownfield regeneration theory has undergone the exploration,development,maturity and evolution process,which formed a more clear stage characteristics in practice;A large number of case studies show that brownfield regeneration mainly presents the characteristics of location,scale and functional group transformation.Based on the above research,this paper constructs the spatial strategy system of brownfield regeneration in resource-based cities from different spatial levels: macro-strategy with system as the core,meso-strategy with model as the core and micro-strategy with motif as the core.Finally,taking Ruichang,a representative resource-based city in Jiangxi Province,as an example,the above research results are applied and validated through the planning of "All-for-one Tourism" industry experience zone,the landscape planning and design of Jiangzhou Shipyard industrial wasteland and its key nodes.This paper argues that there is a huge number of brownfield in resource-based cities in China,with different trends and unknown patterns.There is no invariable regeneration law,let alone a once-and-for-all planning scheme.The management and regeneration of resource-based cities' brownfield cluster is systematic,process and complex,which requires the joint efforts of landscape architecture,urban planning,architecture,art,ecology,environmental engineering,society and economics.The management and regeneration of brownfield should aim at sustainable space construction,step by step,point to area,and integrate into the larger process of urban organic renewal.
