Xinjiang power grid is centrally connected to a large number of heavy industrial enterprises.Because of the weak structure of Xinjiang power grid, the undercoordinated development of transmission and distribution, and the seasonal characteristics of some loads, serious power quality problems such as voltage problems occur in some areas. At the same time, the demands of power users on power quality are increasing. How to formulate corresponding governance measures has become an urgent problem to be solved. In view of the excellent voltage regulation capability and good power quality improvement characteristics of dynamic reactive power compensation equipment, the adaptive evaluation method of reactive power compensation in Xinjiang power grid is proposed. The main work is as follows:Firstly, the influence mechanism of three typical non-linear loads, electric arc furnace, electrified railway traction load and semiconductor converter equipment,on power quality is analyzed and discussed.Secondly, the characteristics of dynamic reactive power compensation devices are analyzed, and an evaluation method of the adaptability of reactive power compensation devices is proposed, which evaluates the grid adaptability of reactive power compensation devices from the technical and economic point of view. Finally, based on the actual parameters of Xinjiang power grid and the diversified load model, the power quality is analyzed and verified by the measured data.On this basis, the dynamic reactive power compensation scheme is implemented for the power quality problems such as voltage fluctuation, flicker and harmonic. The results show that the scheme can solve the power quality problems of Xinjiang power grid well. The results of this paper can provide reference for solving the power quality problems caused by nonlinear load.
