The distribution network is the most important part of the power transmission from the power grid to customers,and is the most prone to accidents in the power grid.Therefore,the accurate and rapid location of faults in the distribution network is helpful to improve the reliability and quality of power supply,and has a greater impact on social stability,economic development,and people's lives.However,the gradual changes in the structure of the distribution network,the increase in distribution lines,aging,and environmental and weather factors have caused difficulties for the distribution network fault location.This paper focuses on the application and improvement of Cuckoo Search Algorithm in distribution network fault location,loss of feeder terminal information,multi-power distribution network and access to distributed power sources.A fault location method for distribution network based on improved Cuckoo Search Algorithm is proposed.The Cuckoo Search Algorithm uses Lévy flight to perform a global search by simulating the parasitic propagation mechanism of cuckoo flocks,avoiding the algorithm from easily falling into local optimum.The Cuckoo Search Algorithm is applied to distribution network fault location,and the algorithm is improved according to the requirements of fast and accurate distribution network fault location.Combining the search step size and the number of iterations improves the iterative speed in the early stage of the algorithm and the search accuracy in the later stage,and reduces the step size when approaching the target solution to improve the search accuracy.For the possible distortion and loss of the signal uploaded by the feeder terminal due to the effects of line aging,weather,environment,etc.,the anti-misjudgment factor and the number of assumed failures are introduced,and improves the evaluation function.It is obtained through formula verification and simulation comparison,which improves The effectiveness and fault tolerance of the algorithm.More power access in the distribution network changes the power flow in the network.The ring distribution network in open-loop operation adopts a regional division method to divide the multi-power distribution network into multiple single-power radial distribution networks.,And its effectiveness was verified through simulation.For closed-loop operation,by analyzing the direction of the fault current,a multi-power switch function suitable for multi-power distribution network is constructed,and its effectiveness and accuracy are verified by simulation.Simulations of various fault conditions show that the improved Cuckoo Search Algorithm combined with multi-power switch functions has better accuracy,stability and fault tolerance for multi-power distribution networks.Finally,analyze and summarize the influence of the access of the distributed power supply on the fault location of the distribution network.Based on the multi-power switchingfunction,combining the rigidity coefficient,the distributed power supply and the system power supply's ability to provide short-circuit current,adding the current supply coefficient to construct the application In the switching function of the distribution network with distributed power.The effectiveness and accuracy of this function are also verified through simulation,and through simulation of multiple fault conditions,the results show that the improved Cuckoo Search Algorithm combined with this switching function still has a better accuracy for the distribution network with distributed power,Stable and fault-tolerant.
