With the improvement of automobile intelligence and networking, global research and innovation personnel are striving to turn the car into the next generation of intelligent terminals. On the other hand, due to the high degree of electronic and mobile life, the information on the human-machine system of the car that the driver needs to know is more complicated. The in-vehicle information system carries functions to help users understand the status of the car and the outside world. The car navigation system provides passengers with the most necessary travel route planning and auxiliary route maintenance. The traditional central control car navigation system requires the driving user to constantly switch back and forth to obtain the necessary navigation indication information while driving, which causes a certain risk of driving interference. With the increasing content of entertainment content integrated by in-vehicle information systems, driving users rely on their convenience, and unconsciously carry out many driving sub-tasks,facing the danger of cognitive overload. At this time, further research on the AR-HUD interface design can bring the potential to overcome the bottleneck of the existing vehicle information human-computer interaction requirements. The head-up display(HUD)helps the driver’s line of sight not to deviate from the front, while the application of augmented reality(AR)can more fully integrate navigation information with real-life,providing new and safe lane-level navigation and geographic location services.Based on this, this paper discusses the design principles of vehicle navigation interface based on augmented reality technology under certain driving conditions and carries on the design practice. This paper first studies the core characteristics of augmented reality and the specific implementation process of the system;analyzes the status quo and application cases of academic research at home and abroad;and combs the behavior and cognitive models of driving users. This paper adopts the user-centered design concept, the scenario-oriented design method of the scene design, and collects the mental information of the target user to construct the mental model of the target user of the AR-HUD car navigation interface. On the basis of this, combined with the driving navigation task classification, the information structure of the navigation system interface based on augmented reality technology is developed by the target user’s card classification and cluster analysis results of different categories of information. Finally, according to the different stages of the car’s driving task,14 typical interfaces were selected for high-fidelity design, and the cognitive effects were evaluated. The experimental results verified the usability of the augmented reality-based car navigation interface concept design. This paper innovatively sets the different information modules in the design of the in-vehicle system based on augmented reality. It also combines the voice and gesture interaction model to better reflect the real-time environment brought by the augmented reality.Interactivity.And in the final concept design, according to the design principle of service design, the interface is used as a contact point to think about the geographical location service of the scene, which makes the research of this paper more vital and expandable.
