With the rapid development of economy and rapid growth of population, the urban landscape pattern is changing with each passing day.In order to deal with the ecological environment problems caused by the change of urban landscape pattern,it is necessary to discuss and study the characteristics and changing rules of landscape pattern and future development trend in the process of urbanization. This study took the three area(Jintai district,Weibin district, and Chencang district)of Baoji city in Shaanxi province as study area.Four multispectral remote sensing image, with the time span of 31 years,namely,from1987 to 2018,were interpreted using"3S"technology.On this basis,31 years of Baoji city landscape pattern are analyzed through Series of methods, including, change detection, transfer matrix, and landscape pattern index analysis, etc. And then the future landscape patterns in the study area were predicted by the CLUMondo model and the above findings. The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)The spatial distribution of various landscape elements in the research area is uneven, and woodland landscape and grassland landscape are the main landscape types, accounting for nearly 70%.During the period of 31 years from 1987 to 2018,the landscape structure of the study area changed significantly. The main characteristics are as follows:the area of construction land, forest land and grassland kept increasing during the period of 31years,among which the area of construction land increased the most, with an increase of99.21 km~2,its growth rate was 106.64%.At the same time, the cultivated land area continued to decrease, with a decrease of 120.78 km~2,an increase of-12.74%,and the change of unused land area was small. In the past 31 years, various landscape types in Baoji urban area have undergone different degrees of transformation, among which, patch types such as construction land and cultivated land, which are greatly influenced by human activities, had a higher degree of transformation.(2)At the patch level, from 1987 to 2018,the continuity of patches on construction land was enhanced, the fragmentation degree was reduced, and the patches continued to expand to other types. The degrees of continuity, dominance, fragmentation of farmland patch all were decreasing, but still maintained at a high level.Woodland patches and grassland patches were less negatively affected by human activities, among which the marginal effect of grassland patches was significant and the openness was strong. At the landscape level, the fragmentation level and dominance degree of the landscape had decreased, and the distribution of landscape types becomes more and more balanced. The area proportion differences between different types of landscape decreased, the degree of landscape heterogeneity increased, and the landscape diversity increased, these were conducive to the maintenance of urban landscape and biological diversity.(3)The spatial data of landscape pattern in Baoji urban area from 2008 to 2018 were used to verify that the CLUMondo model was suitable for the simulation of landscape pattern configuration in Baoji urban area.On this basis, the landscape pattern of Baoji urban area in 2028 was predicted and studied. The results showed that in the next 10 years, the landscape fragmentation degree in the three districts of Baoji city will increase, the overall edge of the patches in the landscape will become simple, the correlation with the surrounding areas will be enhanced, the connectivity of the dominant patches in the landscape will be enhanced, the connectivity between the landscapes will be weakened, the overall heterogeneity of the landscape will be strengthened, and the landscape diversity will become more complicated.
