Research On The Color System Of University Buildings Based On The Psychological Effect Of Color

Color plays an important role in people’s visual perception.The recognition degree of human eye to architectural color is higher than that of building volume.The human eye recognizes color through the color light reflected on the surface of the object.The nature as a kind of electromagnetic wave has a certain effect on human perception.In addition,in long-term human activities,color is also given a certain symbolic meaning,with association and symbolic effect.At the same time,different colors also have different expressions,representing different emotional meaning,for example,red is exciting,blue is calming,orange is warm...Therefore,the psychological effect of color exists with color and plays a huge role in our life,for example,in the field of shop window design,consumers are stimulated by using bright colors to keep them excited,and in the field of interior design,the living environment looks more warm by using warm colors.Architectural color is influenced by many factors,such as regional factors,cultural factors,aesthetic factors,building material factors,color psychological factors,etc.At present,there are more researches on the first four factors,less researches on the application of color psychological effect in architectural appearance color,and less in the field of university construction.With the development of society,universities choose to build new campuses,but there are some phenomena in this process,such as the use of the same color in all kinds of new college buildings,lack of their own characteristics,not in line with the students’ color psychological expectations.In the process of research and investigation,it is found that different types of college students have different personality characteristics and professional characteristics,and their psychological needs for color are also different,with certain professional characteristics.Therefore,different types of college building color system should also have different characteristics,which is worth exploring.In the process of determining the color system of university buildings,if we consider from the perspective of color psychology,we may reach a kind of agreement,which is the agreement between the color environment of buildings and the psychological needs of people.Through the information of color transmission,we can meet the emotional needs of users and create a more comfortable and healthy color environment.Based on the current situation of College color in Shenyang,this paper investigates the students’ color psychology,draws the recommended color spectrum of five types of College color system by controlling the color attributes,which will help each type of college to find the color system with its own style characteristics and suitable for the students’ psychology in the process of building a new campus in the future.Hoping to provide some new ideas and methods for the determination of the color system of university buildings at the angle of color psychology.
