A Study Of Hongqiao Railway Station's Layout And Its Relation To Hongqiao Comprehensive Transportation Hub

It has been more than ten years since the first group of high-speed railway stations were built around 2008.Hongqiao comprehensive transportation hub is the first building to integrate highspeed railway station and airport terminals in China.It had undertaken the second largest passenger throughput in China with a small building area,highlighting the intensity and efficiency of transportation hub.This paper took Hongqiao comprehensive transportation hub as the study case,based on literature analysis,research and analysis,statistical summary,comparative research and other methods,tried to summarize the advantages of Hongqiao Railway Station in architectural design,and put forward improvement strategies for the typical problems exposed.The first part is the background research.The first chapter of this paper summarized the history of China's railway stations design.Generally speaking,the development of domestic railway station design focused on more intensive layout while expanding the passenger throughput and raising traffic efficiency.The second to the fourth chapter are the second part of this paper,which analyzed the early planning process,transfer streamline layout and air rail alliance of Hongqiao transportation hub.These contents were selected to analyze the research cases from three aspects: preliminary planning,architectural design and further development of domestic transportation hub.The streamline organization and design logic of domestic high-speed railway stations are very similar due to security regulations.After comparative study,some typical problems were exposed,such as too large open platform area,local congestion,and difficulty in ensuring night traffic after the suspension of subway,which were caused by exterior design negatively influenced the function,the mismatching of metro station hall layout and actual passenger flow of railway station,and delay of some station completion,which can be improved by referring to the operation and design of Hongqiao Railway Station.The third part,on the basis of the second part,described the problems mentioned in the previous research in detail,explain the causes and tried to put forward proposals based on the situation.For example,the bus station shall be used as the service point for network car hailing in proper period to adjust the collection and distribution proportion reasonably.
