In order to cope with the increasingly prominent urban traffic problems,China has formulated the guidelines for the long-term priority development of urban public transport.In order to make the city bus really play its core advantages.Many domestic and abroad of scholars focus on such important issues as bus network optimization,bus priority signal control,and bus service quality evaluation.And a lot of research has been done.Among them,bus network optimization is an important basis to promote the positive development of urban public transport.At present,the evaluation of bus service quality is organically combined with the optimization of bus network,and there are few studies on the optimization of regional bus network from the perspective of improving service quality.Therefore,this paper takes Guilin city bus as an example,based on the current situation of road data,current situation of bus system,residents' travel and other data resources,and comprehensively applies the analytic hierarchy process theory and the theory of passenger flow distribution,and based on service quality evaluation,a new method for adjusting and optimizing the urban regional conventional bus network is proposed.First of all,the status quo of regular public transport in Guilin was investigated and analyzed.By means of questionnaire survey and interview survey,the status quo of bus network and basic data of service quality in Guilin were obtained.It included the macro data of bus network in Guilin,bus route data,residents' travel purpose,travel time,travel characteristics and other data.The characteristics of the basic data were summarized after in-depth analysis.The basis was provided for the subsequent construction of the public transport service quality evaluation system.Then a general public transport evaluation method based on the functional level of line network was constructed.According to the principles and objectives of the indicator system and the characteristics of the conventional bus system in small and medium-sized cities,the evaluation index system of the conventional bus service quality was established.It selected 9 indexes from the three levels of road network planning,line layout and operation service.Based on the characteristics of the current bus network,the line network was divided into functional levels.And based on the hierarchical analysis theory,the conventional public transport evaluation model based on the functional level of the line network was constructed.Finally,the bus system of Guilin city was evaluated and analyzed as the strength.The empirical results showed that the results obtained by this evaluation method were consistent with the survey data.In addition,it can find out the shortcomings of the conventional bus system more concretely and provide a theoretical basis for the optimization of the line network.At last,a general public transport optimization method based on service quality evaluation was constructed.Based on the study of the optimization method of conventional bus network,the optimization mode of "give priority to the certificate and give priority to the solution" is selected.Considering the characteristics of each functional level and the results of service quality evaluation,the passenger turnover was selected as the optimization objective.And an optimization model was constructed based on the hierarchical constraints of backbone and supplementary lines.In the model solution,passenger flow distribution was introduced and the optimization model is solved by Trans CAD software.The empirical results show that the reasonable optimization of bus network in Guilin from the perspective of improving the quality of bus service can greatly improve the bus attraction and improve the operation of urban bus system.
