To provide the scientific basis for large-scale development and utilization of Pennisetum sp.and peanut vine,two experiments of Pennisetum sp.silage,peanut vine and corn stalks mixed silages were designed.Experiment one:Pennisetum sp.silage modulation.It carried out two tests.The first test had four treatments,which were control(CK1),2 ml/kg of fermented green juice(FGJ1),1000 U/kg cellulose(C)and 2ml/kg fermented green juice+1000 U/kg cellulase(MIX 1).The second test had four treatments,which were control(CK2),2 ml/kg of fermented green juice(FGJ2),1250 U/kg xylanase(X)and 2 ml/kg fermented green juice+1250 U/kg xylanase(MIX 2).The additive amount was based on fresh matter basis.Each treatment had 3 replicates.The results showed that:in the first test:compared with CK1,the pH value,acetic acid content(AA),gas loss rate(GLR),ammonia nitrogen content(NH3-N)and butyric acid content(BA)were signicantly decreased(P<0.01 or P<0.05),lactic acid content(LA)and soluble carbohydrate content(WSC)were significantly increased(P<0.05)by FGJ1.The dry matter recovery rate(DMR)was significantly increased(P<0.05),hemi-cellulose content was significantly decreased(P<0.01)by C,The pH value,gas loss rate,ammonia nitrogen content and hemicelluloses content were significantly decreased(P<0.01),the contents of LA and propionic acid content(PA)were significantly increased(P<0.01,P<0.05)by MIX 1.The MIX 1 had significantly higher LA,AA,PA and BA than FGJ1(P<0.01,P<0.05).had lower pH value and gas loss rate,and higher LA,AA and PA than C.In the second test:compared with CK2,the contents of LA,AA,PA and WSC were significantly decreased(P<0.01 or P<0.05),the NH3-N was significantly decreased(P<0.01)by X.The pH value,AA,PA,NH3-N and GLR were significantly decreased(P<0.01 or P<0.05),LA was significantly increased(P<0.01)by MIX2.The MIX2 had higher LA and GLR,and lower DMR,NH3-N and WSC(P<0.01 or P<0.05)than FGJ2,had higher LA,lower pH value,GLR,AA and acid detergent fiber(ADF)than X.Obviously,FGJ added alone or mixed with cellulose and xylanse could significantly improve the quality of Pennisetum sp.silage.What's more,the results indicated that Pennisetum sp.is suitable for ensiling.Experiment two:Peanut vine and corn stalk mixed silage modulation.Peanut vine 50%+corn stalk 50%round bale silage,peanut vine 70%+corn stalk 30%round bale silage and peanut vine 100%round bale silage were made.The mixed silage had control and additive(lactic acid bacteria 1.0×109 cfu/kg(effective bacteria)and sucrose 30 g/kg mixture)treatments,and the peanut vine 100%silage just had 1.0×109 cfu/kg and 30 g/kg sucrose treatment.Each treatment was repeated 3 times.In addition,peanut vine 30%+corn stalk 70%small silo silage were made.Compared with control,NH3-N content was significantly increased(P<0.01)by additive at peanut vine 50%+corn stalk 50%round bale silage,DM content had significant increased(P<0.05)by additive at peanut vine 70%+corn stalk 30%round bale silage.Compared with additive treatment of peanut vine 50%+corn stalk 50%round bale silage,the peanut vine 30%+corn stalk 70%small silo silage had higher LA content(P<0.05),lower NH3-N content(P<0.01),and the peanut vine 100%silage had higher LA content and AA content(P<0.01),lower pH value,NH3-N content,PA content and BA content(P<0.01).Compared to the control of peanut vine 50%+corn stalk 50%round bale silage and peanut vine 70%+corn stalk 30%round bale silage,the peanut vine 30%+corn stalk 70%small silo silage had lower DM content and higher pH value(P<0.01).In addition,the peanut vine 30%+corn stalk 70%small silo silage had higher NH3-N content than control of peanut vine 70%+corn stalk 30%round bale silage.Control of peanut vine 70%+corn stalk 30%round bale silage had lower NH3-N content than control of peanut vine 50%+corn stalk 50%round bale silage.Therefore,lactic acid bacteria and sucrose had little effected on the quality of peanut vine 50%+ corn stalk 50%round bale silage,peanut vine 70%+corn stalk 30%round bale silage.With the increasing proportion of peanut vine,the quality of silage was improved.The quality of peanut vine 100%silage was best.The quality of round bale silage was better than the quality of small silo silage.What's more the quality of small silo silage had reached the level of good silage.The results confirmed that peanut vine was suitable for making silage.
