Tea plant is an important economic plant in China.However,resulting economic losses,which are caused by insect pests and excessive pesticide residues from pest control,negatively affected normal production of tea and income of farmers,thereby limiting the development of tea industry.The use of yellow sticky trap for pest control is one of the ways to solve the problem of pesticide residues.The study of characters of arthropod communities is very important for controlling the population fluctuations and integrated management of pests.According to the theory and method of ecology of arthropod community,this research adopted the major characteristic indices of community structure as evaluation index in the tea garden and discussed the differences of characters of arthropod communities between the tea gardens that used chemical pesticide and yellow sticky trap.The main research results are as follows:(1)The differences of the characters of arthropod communities between the tea garden that used yellow sticky trap and non-yellow sticky trap tea garden.The study found that the characters of arthropod communities between the two kinds of gardens had no significant differences during the whole inquiry period.The use of yellow sticky trap could slightly improved the species richness of arthropod communities,evenness,diversity,ratio of beneficial insects to pests and reduced the dominance of arthropod communities.In the sampling period,the sampling results in August were significantly different from other months,the data of tea garden used the yellow sticky trap were higher than the non-yellow sticky trap tea garden.Through the main sampling insects population,it may related to the lots of parasitoids that used yellow sticky trap,The use age of yellow board should pay attention to this period.(2)The differences of the characters of arthropod communities between the tea garden that used yellow sticky trap and chemical pesticide.The arthropod of the two kinds of gardens was primarily Homoptera,respectively,84.130%,85.978%,next was Hymenoptera,respectively,9.358%,5.500%.The dynamic change of arthropod communities in this two kinds of tea garden were consistent.In July and October,the species richness of arthropod communities,evenness,diversity,ration of beneficial insects to pests and other indexes were apparently higher than other periods,the coverage were also lower.Except for the period of aphid's migration from August 21 to September 6,the evenness and diversity of the arthropod communities of the tea garden that use the yellow sticky trap were significantly higher than the tea garden that use chemical pesticide.Although the species richness was not reached significant level,it was also higher than another kind of tea garden.During the whole experimental period,the coverage was significantly lower than the tea garden that used chemical pesticide.From August 3 to11,the arthropod communities of two gardens were both appeared the phenomenon that ratio of beneficial insects to pests greater than1,the maximum of the tea garden that used chemical pesticide was 2.095,another was 1.809.The pest control of tea garden should pay more attention to this period.After October,tea garden entered the flowering period,pests were infrequent,neutral insects and natural enemy were common and the species richness of arthropod communities,evenness,diversity were high,it also should pay attention to use the preventive measures during this period.
