This experiment was conducted to study the difference of the nutrition and p H change rule of alfalfa silage, added with 10%corn and the compound microorganism preparation;and the effects of diets added with different levels of alfalfa meal andsilage on reproduction, serum index, milk composition in sows and production, serum index in their piglets.Experiment 1: Alfalfa in early bloom was cutting into 2-3cm,mixed with 10%corn and the compound microorganism preparation, and then put into the plastic bags, the nutrition and p H was measured during the 1st month,2nd month,3rd month,4th month,5th month,6th month,7th month. The results as follow:(1)during the storage of the high-moisture alfalfa silage, the contentprotein raise first then come a litter down and finally tend to be stable.(2)during the 1st month and 2nd month, the p H reached a stable level at 4.6,and 4.51 at 3rd month, and then begin to raise until 7th month to 5.92.(3)dry matter content begin to decrease at the 2nd month until the 7th month.(4)Crude fat content were increased during the whole storage period.(5)the color, smell and sensory quality of the high-moisture alfalfa silage were changed during the storage, and the storage time was better no more than 4 month.Experiment 2: A total of 115 sows were allocated to 5 dietary treatments,5 pens per treatment and 5 sows per pen(3sows in silage group). The results as follow:(1)compare with the control group, the backfat thickness changes of sows during the gestation and lactation period had no difference(P>0.05);(2)the total number born and born alive number in 4 test group were higher than the control group, but had no significant difference(P>0.05);(3)the content of IGF-Ⅰduring the gestationperiod had the tend to raise and the 20% alfalfa meal group was significantly higher than the other group(P<0.05);(4)compare with the control group, the content of PRL and GH were significantly higher(P<0.05);(5)in test groups, the urea nitrogen level decrease(P<0.05)in piglets, while had no influence(P>0.05)on other serum index;(6)milk fat and total solids in milk of the text groups were significantly higher than the other group(P<0.05).
