Theoriginal article researched the effects of coupling of water andnitrogen, combined application of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, organic manure and chemical fertilizer to the growth, yield, and quality of the hilly-gullies loess region red dates, using 6-7 years old Jujube of Shan Bei Yan Chuan test base as materials. It aimed to provide theroy evidence for a reasonable and scientific water and fertilizer managment. The results as follows.(1)With YanChuan country Jujube as materials, analyse and measure Jujube leaf's SPAD quantity, single date weight, single date size and hanging length under the different treatments of water and nitrogen levels. The results show that the application of nitrogen and water could evidently improve Jujube leaf's SPAD quantity, single date weight, single date size and hanging length in a way.All of them achieved the maximum under treatments of nitrogen 1.5kg per tree and water level 60 kg per tree.Without the treatments of nitrogen and water, they were the lowest. With the increasing of nitrogen and water level, all of them began to add at a certain degree. The results showed that the quality of Jujube significant were raised by fertilizer-water treatments. The effect of nitrogen was higher than the effect of water.Vitamin C contents of Mu Jujube under treatments of nitrogen 0.5kg per tree and water level 60 kg per tree which was the highest was 492.3 mg/100 g.Flavones contents of Jujube under treatments of nitrogen 0.5kg per tree and water level 20 kg per tree which was the highest was 74.7 mg/100 g.Dry output rate under treatments of nitrogen 1.0kg per tree and water level 60 kg per tree which was the highest was 74.1%.With the Vitamin C and flavones contents were concerned, the nitrogen application rate at 0.5 ~1.0 kg per tree and water level at 60 kg per tree was recommended. The application of nitrogen fertilizer and water level would increase vitamin C and flavones contents. The contents of proteid and ash under the treatments of nitrogen 1.0kg per tree.It fully showed excessively high nitrogen level could reduce the quality of Jujube. At this experiment, the contents of proteid and ash under treatments of nitrogen 1.0kg per tree and water level 60 kg per tree which were the highest were 5.81g/100 g and 5.70g/100 g.The content of titratable acid was the lowest without any treatments of nitrogen and water. In conclusion, the best treatment was nitrogen 1.0kg per tree and water 60 kg per tree in the experiment.(2)With Jujube as materials, research the single fruit weight, edible rate and ash content of Jujube under different applications of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The study showed the combined application of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium had certain effect towards the quality of Mu Jujube. The single date weight, which was the biggest, was 11.055 g under treatments of urea 1.0kg per tree, superphosphate 1.0kg per tree and potassium sulfate 0.5kg per tree. The edible rate which was the highest was 96% under treatments of urea 0.5kg per tree, superphosphate 1.5kg per tree and potassium sulfate 0.5kg per tree. The ash content which was the biggest was 4.53g/100 g under treatments of urea 1.0kg per tree, superphosphate 1.0kg per tree and potassium sulfate 0.25 kg per tree. The differences bewteen different treatments were evident.(3)With Jujube as materials, research the single Jujube weight, edible rate and ash content of Jujube under different combined applications of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The stduy showed the combined applications of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium had certain effect toward the quality of Jujube. The date leaf's SPAD quantity was the biggest and the ability of absorbing nitrogen was the strongest under treatments of nitrogen 1.0kg per tree, phosphorus 1.5kg per tree, potassium 1.0kg per tree and humus acid 1.0kg per tree. The single date weight, titratable acid and Vitamin C achieved the maximum under treatments of nitrogen 1.0kg per tree, phosphorus 1.5kg per tree and potassium 1.0kg per tree. The contents of total sugar and reducing sugar achieved the maximum under treatments of nitrogen 1.5kg per tree, phosphorus 1.5kg per tree and potassium 1.0kg per tree.It could be seen that a varity of nitrogen could bring about the produce of reducing sugar.Overrall consideration,in the experiment, the best combined application of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium was 1.0:1.5:1.0.Appropriate amount of humus acid also could promote to improve Mu Jujube quality and the yield of red date.
