In vitro dual-flow continuous culture system and feeding-slaughtering trial we conducted in this study in order to investigate the effect of Sea Buckthorn Pomace on Growth Performance,Organ Index,Serum Physiological Parameters and Meat Quality of muscle in Fattening Lambs.Methods:A total of Twenty-Four Dorper× Small thin-tailed crossed ram lambs(4month,25 ± 1 kg)were selected and equally divided into four groups with a completely random design.All animals were raised under free-range conditions and received die containing different levels of sea buckthorn pomace(0%,10%20%and 30%).Experiment lasted for 50 d a,and at the end of experiment,all animals were slaughtered and sampled.Results:1.Production Performance Dietary sea buckthorn pomace supplementation significantly affected sheep production performance(P<0.05).10%supplemented group got the best weight gain(P<0.05),while 30%level group get the worst(P<0.05).2.Organ indices In 30%addition group,the liver and spleen indexes were the greatest(P<0.05),and reticulum stomach index were the lowest.The large intestine and small intestine index in the sea buckthorn treatment group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).3.Serum levels of physiological and biochemical indexes The 30%level group got the greatest High density lipoprotein(HDL)content(P<0.05).The atherosclerosis index(AI)of the test group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The activities of total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC),glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)in buckthorn pomace supplementation lambs were greater(P<0.05).The contents of Aspartate transaminase(AST),Alanine aminotransferase(ALT),Lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)creatinine(CRE)and serum urea nitrogen(BUN)were significantly increased in 30%supplementation lambs(P<0.05).4.Meat Quality Sea Buckthorn pomace makes no difference in meat quality.5.Fatty Acid Optimal dietary Sea Buckthorn pomace significantly increased the content of linoleic acid(P<0.05),palmitoleic acid(P<0.05),elaidic acid(P<0.05)and arachidonic acid(P<0.05),reduced oleic acid content(P<0.05)and increased the proportion of unsaturated fatty acids(P<0.05).It also improved the content of MUFA and reduced PUFA.6.Amino acid The adding of Sea Buckthorn Pomace could significantly increased the content of essential amino-acid like Lys,Leu,Thr,and also the non-essential amino acid as Asp,Ser,Glu,Gly(P<0.05).Conclusion:Sea Buckthorn Pomace is applicable for fatting lambs.Sea Buckthorn Pomace significantly improved sheep production performance and changed the content of fatty acids and amino acids of muscle with out changing meat quality of fatting sheep.That makes the meat become more delicious and healthy.Excessive Sea Buckthorn Pomace is harmful to the fatting sheep.In summary,the best level of Sea Buckthorn Pomace is 10%-20%.
