Development Of Mobile Phone APP Measuring Crop Acreage Based On GPS

At present,the method of measuring crop acreage is rather monotonous.The general method is manual measurement or visual estimation.The manual measurement must cost a lot of manpower and the measurement time is very long.Based on the Android OS platform,a mobile phone App was developed which can measure the crop planting area by using GPS.The App can measure the crop planting area by using intelligent terminal GPS module,can upload the measurement results to the client center,and can query:measurement results in WeChat public number.The APP was used to measure the regular and irregular 'plots respectively,and compared the measuring results with the actual area.The results shows that most of the relative error of this measurement method is below 10%and basically meet the requirement of measurement of crop planting area.This method has good application value in measuring the large area of crop planting.
