With the improvement of the people's living standards in China,the edible and healthcare value of vegetable sweetpotato is getting more and more attention.And ornamental sweetpotato is becoming an important landscaping plant with different leaf colors and leaf types.However,basic research on vegetable and ornamental sweetpotato is rare,i.e.these germplasm resources quantity and their genetic relationship are now unclear.In order to screen the vegetable and ornamental sweetpotato germplasm,study their genetic diversity,and obtain their above-ground morphology characters,1100 germplasm resources were screened in the field from the National Sweetpotato Genebank in Xuzhou.96 vegetable and ornamental sweetpotato accessions were selected.To these accessions,the study results are as follows:1.The principal components analysis of the 89 vegetable and ornamental accessions was performed by using 12 phenotypic traits.The result got 5 principal components,the cumulative contribution rate of these was 80.5%.The main component 1 and the principal component 2 were plotted to obtain three groups.It was found that the heavier the stem winding extent,the fewer hairs in stem end;A total of 8 groups was clustered by UPGMA.However,15 accessions were not clearly distinguished by phenotypic traits clustering,which indicated that the morphology markers are limited genetic resource clustering.2.Genetic diversity and population structure of the 96 germplasms were analyzed using SSR markers.With 30 pairs of SSR primers,269 polymorphic bands were amplified;The germplasm resources were categorized according to their collecting areas and analyzed by MEGA 6.06 software.The average genetic distance among different regions was 0.404.Nei72 genetic distance were calculated using DPS software and the genetic distance was 0.15-0.76 in which the average genetic distance was 0.66;Cluster analysis in 0.272 genetic distance can divide 96 accessions into 3 groups,of which the III group in 0.267 genetic distance is divided into three subgroups.Furthermore,96 resources were divided into three groups through population structure analysis.By comparing the NJ clustering method with the structure analysis,it is believed that the analysis results of the two methods are consistent with each other.3.The quality analysis was performed on some vegetables and ornamental sweetpotato germplasm.The tips' s taste and variance analysis of 75 accessions were carried out.Through evaluation of the taste of these 75 accessions,“Zhanshu 01-2”,“Tianchuishu”,“DAJIA”,“QingshuNO.10”,“Jishu NO.3”,“Sanjiaoning”,“Xiangshu NO.18”,“Lushu NO.4” were significantly higher than the control.The contents of protein,fat,dietary fiber,total polyphenols,and antioxidant activity in 58 of these accesions were tested,and their quality characters database was obtained,which provided reference for next step resource utilization.Among them,“Zhanshu 01-2" owns itself with the highest level of the taste scores,fat contents,the total polyphenol contents and the antioxidant activity.Through morphology markers,SSR markers and quality characters,genetic diversity and evaluation of vegetable and ornamental sweetpotato germplasm resources were conducted.In future,author wish this work can provide reference for the elite resource application and new varieties breeding of vegetable and ornamental sweetpotato.
