Pepper is a vegetable crop which enormously cultivated in China. Its "big water and large fertilizer" planting pattern results in poor soil structure and function, and affects the nutritional quality and safety quality of chilies. In this study, pepper was used as the test material, and 4 kinds of common soil in Hunan province, moisture soil, vegetable plantation soil, paddy soil and yellow brown soil were selected as the experimental soil.By measuring the physical and chemical properties, enzyme activity and pepper growth related indicators in 4kinds of soil, the application of high-throughput sequencing technology in the research of the diversity of soil bacteria, fungi community structure before and after pepper planting, discussing the difference of pepper growth and development under different soil types, and the influence of pepper planting on the change of soil microorganisms. To provide theoretical basis for high quality and high yield of pepper cultivation on the field of soil biological characteristics. The results are as follows:(1)The soil type influenced the height and width of the pepper plant, the nutrient content of the plant's fruit, and the microstructure of the root and fruit of the pepper. The pepper planted in the vegetable plantation soil had higher plant height and width than that of other soil. The root system of the pepper was evenly distributed, and the proportion of xylem was suitable for the root system. The parenchyma cells were abundant and the parenchyma was thickened. The root formation of the root system was separated and the xylem was separated in the pepper planted in the yellow brown soil, and there were a large number of fruit vascular bundles. The pepper planted in the moisture soil had high soluble sugar content.(2)Before and after the planting of pepper, the diversity of soil bacteria was shown as,vegetable plantation soil > yellow brown soil > paddy soil > moisture soil. After planting pepper, the diversity of soil bacteria was decreased, the diversity of paddy soil bacteria increased. Before and after the planting of pepper, the bacteria in 4 kinds of soil were mainly composed by acidobacteria and proteobacteria, and the relative abundance were 60%.Acidobacteria and proteobacteria and actinomycetes were the dominant bacteria in the soil. After the planting of pepper, the total number of OTU in soil increased, and the number ofOTU owned by all soils increased too.(3)Before planting, the fungal diversity was shown as,vegetable soil >moisture soil > yellow brown soil > paddy soil. The fungal diversity after pepper planting was shown as,paddy soil > yellow brown soil > moisture soil > vegetable soil. Before and after the planting, the soil fungi were mainly composed of ascomycetes, and the fusarium and mortierella were the dominant fungi in the soil. The structure of soil fungal species was changed and the relative abundance of pathogenic fungi was greatly increased.
