This paper divides sample family pastures into two groups,based on the survey data of 66 family pastures in 7 counties(cities)in xilingol region,different grassland types were used as the basis.Among them,the east Wuzhumuqinqi,the west Wuzhumuqinqi,xilin hot and Abagaqi belong to meadow steppe plus typical grassland type area,Xianghuangqi,Zhengxiangbaiqi,Zhenglanqi belong to sand land plus desert grassland type area.In the first place,the paper outlines construction circumstances,achievement and existing problems of family pastures,and analyses income and expense of two groups.After that,uses DEA model to calculate the comprehensive technical efficiency,pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of the sample family pastures,and analyses distribution circumstance of three efficiency,return of scale and the mean of each efficiency.The results show that the scale efficiency distribution of family pastures in meadow steppe plus typical grassland type area is better than that in sand land plus desert grassland type area,but the pure technical efficiency distribution of family pastures in sand land plus desert grassland type area is better than that in meadow steppe plus typical grassland type area.Taken altogether,the comprehensive technical efficiency distribution of family pastures in sand land plus desert grassland type area is better than that in meadow steppe plus typical grassland type area.Furthermore,the adjusted target value and the adjusted value are given according to the calculation results.At last,countermeasures and suggestions are developed according to existing problems and production efficiency of sample pastures.
