The water resources China are seriously insufficient but irrigation water is wasted seriously.It's an important to adopt appropriate water-saving measures to alleviate the water shortage and ensure the sustainable development of agriculture.On the basis of summarizing the existing achievements of pipeline irrigation,the following studies were carried out in this paper on the hydraulic simulation and optimization of low-pressure pipeline irrigation system:1.The basic principle of hydraulic simulation of pipeline irrigation system was analyzed,and the simulation model was established which can be divided into four basic units.The calculation and derivation process of each basic unit were explained and the solving method of the model was introduced finally.2.The hydraulic simulation model program of pipe irrigation system was designed by using Visual Basic software.For a design scheme of a low-pressure pipeline irrigation system,this model can be used to simulate the operation state and find problems.For a built pipeline irrigation system,this model can be used to judge the running state,help us find a reasonable rotation irrigation scheme or purposefully carry out technical improvement.The proposed model can greatly reduce the manual calculation and improve the work efficiency.3.In order to minimize the annual cost of pipe irrigation and ensure the appropriate uniformity of export flow,the research of optimal design for low-pressure pipe irrigation system was carried out.Taking the minimum annual cost of pipeline network as objective function,pipe diameters as decision variables,an optimization model was established.Uniform design method was applied to solve the model.After that,the hydraulic simulation model above was used to simulate the design schemes,until the optimal scheme of pipe diameters meeting the requirements of outlet flow uniformity was found.4.The hydraulic simulation model and optimization model of low-pressure pipe irrigation were applied to an actual project;the results were compared with that obtained by conventional design method.The optimal low-pressure pipeline system could not only improve outlet flow uniformity,but also save the investment,which proved the feasibility of the optimization method of low-pressure pipe irrigation system.
