The experimental materials of this study were‘Fengweihuanghou',‘Konglongdan',‘Weihou',‘Weidi',and‘Weiwang'.In order to master the physiological characteristics of the vegetative growth of Prunus salicina×armeniaca in arid area,and the growth phenology,branches and leaves,stem and root growth,photosynthetic characteristics and stem sap flow characteristics were analysed.The main results were as follows:?1?The germination period of Prunus salicina×armeniaca was concentrated from March 20 to 27.The flowering stage was concentrated from April 1 to 11.The leaf stage was concentrated from April 1 to 8.The fruit bearing periods was concentrated from April 22 to May 2.The first growth of new shoots was concentrated from April 7 to 11.The second growth of new shoots was concentrated from Juln.30 to July 9.The fruit mature period was concentrated from July 5 to September 10.The leaf rotation period was concentrated from October 9 to 20,and the defoliation period was concentrated from November 11 to 25.?2?The vigorous growth period of new shoots of Prunus salicina×armeniaca was concentrated from April 14 to May 8.The vigorous growth period of leaf was concentrated from April 14 to May 3r.The vigorous growth period of full leaf area for the first time was concentrated from April 14 to April 30,and the second vigorous growth period was concentrated from June 1 to June 15.The vigorous growth of stem was concentrated from May 14 to July 18.The vigorous growth period of roots for the first time was concentrated from May 16 to July 30,and the second period was from August 10 to 15.?3?The daily change of trunk diameter showed a clear day and night regularity.The maximum value of trunk diameter reached about 8:00 in a day.The minimum value of trunk diameter reached about 16:00 in a day.The growth of trunk diameter reached the maximum value in May.In different month,the maximum daily shrinkage and the daily increase on sunny day were greater than cloudy day.The maximum daily shrinkage before irrigation was greater than after irrigation.DI after irrigation was significantly larger than that of DI before irrigation.The growth of root diameter reached the maximum value in June.The change of root diameter was not affected by the weather,but the soil moisture had a great influence on the root diameter.?4?Prunus salicina×armeniaca had the strongest photosynthesis intensity in July.Prunus salicina×armeniaca had the weakest photosynthesis intensity in August.The daily change of photosynthetic rate for 5 Prunus salicina×armeniaca in different seasons showed a“double-peak”curve.The peak values were at 10:00 and 16:00.The net photosynthetic rate average of'Konglongdan'was highest.The net photosynthetic rate average of'Weiwang'was lowest.‘Weihou'had the most adaptable to light environment.‘Weiwang'had the weakest ability to adapt to the light environment.‘Weidi'can adapt to a higher CO2 concentration environment,‘Weihou'can adapt to the lower CO2 concentration environment.?5?The diurnal changes of the stem sap of Prunus salicina×armeniaca during the growth all presented a typical single-peak curve,with higher value in daytime than nighttime.The lowest sap flow rate in April,and the highest sap flow rate in June.In April,June and August,the sap flow rate of Prunus salicina×armeniaca was the greatest correlation with air temperature.In May and July,the sap flow rate of Prunus salicina×armeniaca was the greatest correlation with light intensity.There were maximum correlation between stem sap flow during their growth season and 1h before light intensity,the coefficient was 0.810.There were maximum correlation between stem sap flow and 1h after temperature,air relative humidity,water vapor pressure deficit,the coefficient were 0.757,-0.572,0.736.There were maximum coefficient of determination between sap flow rate and real-time meteorological factors,was 0.751.
