Disease and death of livestock and poultry have gradually become a major hidden danger to life safety. The hazards of sick and dead livestock and poultry involve food safety, ecological harmony, disease transmission and so on.It is of great significance to stabilize and guarantee the healthy development of China's livestock and poultry breeding related industries.Study how to achieve efficient and environmentally safe disposal of dead livestock and to achieve circular economy is important. This paper analyzes the status quo of harmless treatment of livestock and poultry at home and abroad, and summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of treatment methods.Analogy investigation and on-site monitoring method were used to study the harmless treatment project of livestock and poultry in Songbei District of Harbin. The predicted maximum ground mass concentrations of Monitored pollution factor SO2,PM10,HCl and dioxins in the range of environmental impact assessment were 0.616%,1.073%,6.746%and 1.336%respectively.The maximum ground mass concentration of atmospheric pollutants formed by the incinerator is less than 100%.The results show that the new incinerator has little adverse impact on the environment, and achieves efficient sterilization and resource reuse. The results can provide some practical guidance for technology selection in harmless treatment in China; The disadvantage is that there will be waste gas and dangerous solid waste during the treatment process, and poor treatment will cause secondary pollution to the environment. This paper puts forward some development suggestions on the harmless treatment of sick and dead livestock and poultry in China, and provides some reference for the smooth implementation of the harmless treatment of sick and dead livestock in various regions in the future.
