Research On The Soft-wood Cutting Propagation Techniques Of Prunus Humilis

Prunus humilis is one of the important wild fruit tree having great nutrient and medicinal value,therefore its development and utilization is booming.Because the cultivation area is continuous expanding,and the demand for seedlings is soaring.In order to meet the demand for Prunus humilis seedlings in production,this experiment studied the soft-wood cutting techniques,and summarized the technical specification.In this experiment,'Yanshan No.1' was used as test materials,and the effects of rooting agent type,rooting agent concentration,soaking time,number of leaves remaining,and the type of matrix were studied.The determination indexes are mainly rooting speed,number of new roots,rooting rate,germination rate,survival rate,etc.The main results are shown as follows:1.The cuttings should be shaded to reduce the sunburn of leaves,thereby increasing the rooting rate and survival rate of cutting seedlings.2.The optimum soft-wood picking time is determined from the end of May to the beginning of June,according to the effects of temperature and humidity changes in May,June and July,and the degree of semi-lignification of branches on the soft-wood cutting.3.The callus of cutting formed within ten days in the treatment of 200mg/L ABT No.1 for 2h.A large number of roots produced in 25 days.4.The number of leaves are the key factor for soft-wood cutting.The rooting rate,root growth,and survival rate of the cuttings of 'Yanshan No.1' increased with the increase in the number of leaves.5.The optimum of the four different matrix soils is the mixture of matrix and sand(1:1).The callus of cutting formed about one week,and a large number of new roots formed in 25 days.In addition,the rooting rate is as high as 87%,the germination rate is 76%,and the survival rate is 86%.By comparing the factors affecting the cuttings in the seedlings of Prunus humilis,the best technical rules for cutting seedlings of Prunus humilis were summarized from the aspects of rooting agent type,rooting agent concentration,soaking time,number of leaves remaining,and matrix.
