Chestnut is one of the first species of woody grain with high economic value in China.Fertilization is an important measure to promote the growth and development of chestnut and to improve its yield and quality.Slow-release fertilizer is a simple and efficient new fertilizer,which not only has better slow-release performance,but also has better water absorption and water retention effect,which can improve nutrient utilization efficiency.The effect of slow-release fertilizer on the growth of chestnut was studied in the 2 year old Chinese chestnut seedlings and 5 year old chestnut trees in the economic forest(chestnut)breeding and cultivation test base of Beijing Forestry University in Qianxi County,Hebei province.The effects of different slow-release fertilizers on the growth and nutrient pool of Chinese chestnut seedlings and young trees were studied systematically in order to provide scientific basis for the realization of high yield cultivation of Chinese chestnut.The main findings are as follows:(1)The effect of application of Xinqili slowly controlled release fertilizer on the growth of 2 year old Chinese chestnut seedlings was the best.When 16.6g/was applied,the height of seedling increased to the maximum,and the average height of seedling was 47.62 mm or 4.56 mm,which was 2770.256 mm higher than that of the control.The average SPAD value was 38.07,the photosynthetic effect was the best,and the average root length and root volume were 248.85 cm~(1346)when 12.45g/plant was applied..70cm~3.(2)When 16.6g/plant was applied with Xinqili slowly controlled release fertilizer,the content of PK and total organic carbon in the root system of seedlings increased more,which was 40%65%and 5%,respectively,and when 10g/plant was applied,the content of N in seedling root increased more,that was 61%.(3)The effect of 187.5g/on the growth of 5 years old Chinese chestnut young trees was the best.The SPAD value of young tree leaves is the highest,up to 56.00,the relative content of chlorophyll is more,the leaf specific leaf mass is the least,is 16163.34mm/g,the photosynthetic effect is the best,the young tree leaf is also the most beautiful.(4)The organic carbon and K contents in 5-year-old chestnut leaves were the highest,847.41g/kg and 8.619/kg,when 250g/was applied.When 300g/plant was applied,the content of N and P in 5-year·old chestnut leaves was the highest(2.23g/kg and 2.67g/kg),and the content of protein in frnit was the highest(8.69%9.30g/kg).Comprehensive analysis showed that the effect of slow and controlled release on the growth and development of Chinese chestnut was obvious,the fertilization amount of 2 years old seedlings was 16.6g/plant,and 5 years old young tree was 250g/plant.
