In this study,four provenances of 1-year-old Pistacia chinensis Bunge seedlings from Hanzhong of Shaanxi,Linzhou of Henan,Shexian of Hebei and Beijing were selected as the research materials With split plot design in the field,the seedling height and root collar diameter of seedlings from different provenances were measured regularly after seedlings emerged till the end of growth period.The dynamic change of pigment,soluble sugar,soluble protein content and leaf color parameters of leaves of Pistacia chinensis seedlings from different provenances were analyzed during leaf color transition period,and the biomass and nutrient contents were determined at the end of the growing season.At the same time,regarding the half sib with similar shape and leaves of 1-year-old Pistacia chinensis seedlings from Beijing,and selecting salicylic acid,sucrose and potassium dihydrogen phosphate as the spraying material,the effects of different concentration on leaf discoloration in autumn were researched.This research aims at providing the basis for screening out the provenances of Pistacia chinensis which are suitable for Beijing,and finding out the best chemical with the optimal concentration which can effectively improve the leaf color effect of Pistacia chinensis seedlings or influence the viewing period to provide practical and theoretical basis for the artificial regulation on leaf color of Pistacia chinensis seedlings.The results showed that:?1?From the different provenances,seeds of Pistacia chinensis were 4.87-5.63 mm in length,4.57-5.04 mm in width,3.23-4.03 mm in thickness,1.07-1.21 in length width ratio,40.05-54.63 g in weight of 1000 grain weight,0.66-1.15 g in water absorption rate.The seeds from Henan and Hebei were bigger and higher in 1000 grain weight than that of other provenances?2?The regression correlation of logistic model of 1-year-old Pistacia chinensis seedlings from different provenances reached a significant level?P<0.01?with a better fitting effect,which could be used for analyzing and estimating the growth of seedling height and root collar diameter.Seedlings from Henan and Hebei grew well with the stronger stem.Although seedlings from Shaanxi were higher,the stem was thinner,easy to bend,easy to get flattened with the same as seedlings from Beijing.?3?The leaf color of Pistacia chinensis from Hebei was the most reddest in autumn,whereas green leaves in Shaanxi occurred the longest.Henan and Beijing provenance were in between.In this study,the L*,a*and b*values of leaves were measured by the colorimeter,and the leaf color changes were quantitatively characterized.So it is possible to quantify the relationship between leaf color and each pigment content.?4?The salicylic acid concentration of 0.14 g.L-1 could strengthen the stability of carotenoids in leaves of Pistacia chinensis from Beijing,beneficial to the leaf yellowing;0.07 g·L-1 salicylic acid treatment significantly improved the anthocyanin content with the best expression effect of leaf color;15 g·L-1 and 30 g·L-1 sucrose treatments could both slow down the degradation rate of anthocyanin,to make the leaf color performance more stable;3 g·L-1 potassium dihydrogen phosphate treatment was able to extend the viewing period of Pistacia chinensis from Beijing.
