Medicinal plants have the characteristics of wide source,huge amount of data,and complex features,database technology can be used to store the data of medicinal plants scientifically.This paper designs and develops a diversified query system for medicinal plants,so that researchers can be access to large amounts of medicinal plant data more conveniently and rapidly.This system is divided into three modules,namely,medicinal plant basic information query module,similarity query module and map distribution query module.The data visualization function is provided according to the results of each module.Medicinal plant basic information query module includes single condition query and multi condition dynamic combination query;Similarity query module uses cosine similarity and Jaccard similarity to analyze the similarity,it can find results which don't match in the form of a query keyword,but there is a high degree of similarity in the content.This module includes similarity query according to medicinal properties,chemical composition and distribution area;The map distribution query includes the bidirectional query of medicinal plants and their distribution areas.The system uses B/S architecture,developed by PHP language,the back-end of the system uses Apache server and MySQL database.First design is the database,according to the medicinal properties,chemical composition and the distribution of various entities and the relationship between entities,fifteen data tables are designed.The correlation between different tables is realized by the primary and foreign key relations.Secondly,according to the requirements of different query,the front pages are designed.Finally,the interface functions of the front and rear end are defined and implemented,which realizes the function of different query modules.
