The Construction And Development Of The Query System Of Vegetable Diseases In Wuhan City

The structure of the web database, network technology and relational database are introduced at first in this paper. With the development of the Internet, the construction of the web database has extended from Mainframe/Terminal to Browser/Server mode. Secondly, we analyze the characters of B/S model, and research the Connection technologies betweeniweb and database. We put our emphasis on the ASP technology. After comparing those different technologies, we adopt ASP technology to develop the web database. Finally, after the demand analyze of the database, we build up the database with the usually vegetable diseases in Wuhan city. According to the requirement of searching and administrating information on the web database, we design the system particularly and realize the query system of vegetable diseases in Wuhan city with ASP technology.This web database system servers the vegetable production in Wuhan city. There are 123 kinds of vegetable diseases consisting of 27 species in 11 families in the database. We realize the function of information searching and administrating on the web. This query system is composed of five parts, which includes the system introduction, the information searching system, the administration system, science research web sites and contacting to us, respectively the information searching system and the administration system is the main part of the system. The page of introduction is to introduce the whole system to the visitor simply. The information searching system includes three sub-system. The user can choose the favorite way by himself. We can browse the vegetable disease, search information by the vegetable name or the disease name. When the user input vegetable name, the system will give a page with all the related diseases with this vegetable. And you can click the detailed information button, you'll get the needed information. You'll get the detailed information directly by inputting the correct disease name. The detailed result include ten items. They are "disease name", "symptom", "development of disease", "control method", "disease symptom picture", "host name", "family", "general class", "pathogen describe", and "pathogen picture". After the administrator input the right username and the password, he can login in the administration system. The page includes four parts, which are exiting the system, inserting the record, updating the record and the deleting the record. The administrator can manage the database on the Internet directly. The part of science research web sites is to introduce someuseful science web site to the visitors. The last part is to contact us. The visitors can send their good ideas and suggestions to us by email.
