Study on plant stress resistence is an effective approach in the plant cultivation and breeding work.In this paper,15 L.ruthenicum Murr.materials,which come from different region of 4 provinces,were used for the evaluation of salt-tolerance and cold resistance.To screen out improved salt-tolerant and hardy materials.Mainly includes changes of germination characteristics in seeds under the NaCl salt solution(0,55,125,200,260 mmol/L).The changes of MDA,Pro,SS,SP content and activity of SOD,POD in branches under low-temperature(-20,-25,-30,-35,-40?)stress.The mainly results are as follows.1.The inhibition of salt stress on the germination of L.ruthenicum Murr.seeds performanced in the decrease of the germination rate and germination potential;the radicle and hypocotyl length increased first and then decreased.After experiment,seed recovery germination rate reached 60.5%.Based on germination rate and NaCl salinity,regression analysis shows that the salt tolerance limiting concentration ranges from 160 to 220mmol/L.Evaluated by comprehensive evaluation and cluster analysis,the materials can divide into salt tolerance;moderate salt tolerance;salt sensitive.2.2.Under chilling stress,the changes of indexes were varied.However,there have similarities in those materials of same origin.That means origin can affect cold resistance of plants.The content of MDA,Pro and activity change of SOD show ctdown-up-down".The changes of SS content were incresea first,then decreased,end with increased,on the contrary.With temperature reducing,significant differences were found in the activity change of POD and SP content between regions.POD activity of materials originate from Inner Mongolia and Qinghai show“up-down-up”,the others which originate from Sailnkiang and Gansu showudown-up-down,,.The change of SP content from Inner Mongolia and Gansu show "down-up-down";Sailnkiang and Qinghai show "up-down-up".Evaluated by comprehensive evaluation of cold resistence and cluster analysis,the materials can divide into strong cold endurance;moderate cold endurance;weak cold endurance;sensitive to low temperature.
