In recent years,In recent years,the production of beef cattle industry in Yongzhou has developed rapidly.Beef cattle breeding has become another important support for the development of animal husbandry after pig breeding,and has gradually become the leader of Hunan province.In order to systematically analyze the development status,characteristics and existing problems of beef cattle culture in Yongzhou,we discussed the best breeding mode of beef cattle in Yongzhou,and raised the efficiency of farmers.This study carried out a comprehensive investigation and analysis of beef cattle production in Yongzhou.Through the survey,it is found from the grassland resources that there are 13 million 659 thousand and 400 mu of natural grassland in the city,accounting for 42.1% of the total area and50% of the land.The grassland area of 11 million 873 thousand and 500 acres,the total capacity of up to 785 thousand head of cattle unit.From the production perspective,in 2016 the city's beef production reached 519 thousand and 800,the population reached 1 million 325 thousand and 600,the breeding cows herds 653 thousand and 600;10 the size of cattle head more than 64 22 households,of which more than 50 head of cattle herds of perennial scale households 1620,breeding cows herds 653 thousand and 600,an increase of 7.85%.From the varieties and improved,Yongzhou beef cattle breed improvement in the coverage rate of 45%;imported beef cattle is mainly Angus,Limousin and Simmental and Holstein cattle.From the source of beef cattle,theproportion of beef cattle in the local market,beef cattle in the province and beef cattle in the pr ovince were 8.9%,13.7% and 77.4% respectively.From the existing problems on the characteristics of beef cattle breeding,long cycle and high cost,slow restrict the rapid development of science and technology;less investment,low management level,the quality of beef products is high and the input-output efficiency is not high;yet to create a brand of beef cattle belonging to the local characteristics of the industrial policy;less subsidies,policy support equilibrium;lack of market sales service and improve the supervision system,can not meet the needs of stable development of beef cattle industry and the sustainable development of Yongzhou city.The conclusion of this study is that breeding pattern of beef cattle in Yongzhou city should be based on small scale 10-50 head,can build up information platform,improve the service supervision system,broaden the financing channels,to supplement the subsidy policy,create own brand,Yongzhou beef cattle to improve the core competitiveness of Yongzhou beef cattle breeding,strengthen management,regulate the development of the industry.Scientific management,strengthen epidemic prevention and quarantine,control of drug residues and other forms of implementation,and promote the sustainable development of beef cattle industry and upgrading the quality of aquaculture.
