Investigation On Satisfaction Degree Of Farmers On Pig Insurance And Its Promotion Countermeasures In Jilin Province

Pig industry is an important part of the national economy in China.However,in the process of breeding pigs,there are epidemic diseases,natural disasters and so on,which probably bring great risks and have a strong impact on farmers' income,stable growth of pig production and pork supply for urban and rural residents.It is necessary to establish a risk management mechanism,which will stabilize farmers' income and promote the development of pig industry.Pig insurance is an effective tool for risk management in pig production,a farm-benefiting policy for the nation to develop pig industry and protect the farmers' interests,and an important way to preventing and resolving the risk of breeding pig.It also plays an significant role in stabilizing the pork market and ensuring food safety.Hence,investigating pig insurance is of great significance.Jilin province is a major agricultural province.The pig industry is the pillar industry of animal husbandry.Pig insurance is an inevitable choice to realize the sustainable development of pig output.In 2007,the central government began to provide financial subsidies for pig insurance,and Jilin Province is the first batch of pilot areas.Pig Insurance is the necessary guarantee to transfer the risk of scattered breeding,to improve its ability of prevention and loss prevention and to realize the stable development of pig production.To some degree,the development level of pig insurance depends on the satisfaction of the insured.Therefore,it is of certain academic value to explore the farmers' satisfaction of pig insurance.Through the research,we can not only find the existing problems in the process of carrying out pig insurance in Jilin province,but also provide the theoretical basis for the improvement of the ability to resisting risks and the stable and sustainable development of the pig industry in Jilin province.Moreover,it can increase the insuring rate of pig insurance and the effective demand of pig insurance,and promote the sustainable development of pig insurance.On the basis of reviewing a large number of documents and combining the present situation of pig insurance in Jilin Province,this paper's questionnaire on the satisfaction of pig insurance had been designed from three aspects: the basic situation of breeders,the risk of pig breeding and the cognition of pig insurance,the problems related to pig insurance satisfaction.There were 300 questionnaires mainly distributed in Nong'an County and Yushu City of Changchun City,and Lishu County,Shuangliao City,Yitong County of Siping City.Finally,there were 284 valid questionnaires by collected,and the effective rate reached to 94.67%.In this paper,the current situation of pig insurance in Jilin Province was studied.At the same time,the questionnaire results were described by descriptive statistical analysis.By using Stata14.0,the factors influencing the satisfaction of pig insurance in Jilin Province were analyzed by ordered logistic regression analysis.Based on the problems which were found from the results of empirical research,some countermeasures were proposed.There are six chapters in this article,the main contents and framework are as follows:Chapter 1,introduction.The background and significance of this research on the satisfaction degree and enhancement measures of pig insurance in Jilin Province were illustrated.The research thought,the possible innovations and shortcomings of this paper were put forward.Chapter 2,the relevant concepts and theories.It mainly defines the concepts of agricultural insurance,breeding insurance,pig insurance,the risk of pig breeding,the satisfaction of insurance.At the same time,the theory of public goods,risk management,and butterfly effect were explained.Chapter 3,the present situation of pig insurance in Jilin Province were stated from three aspects: implementation method,premium income and compensation rate.Chapter 4,the satisfaction and its influencing factors of pig insurance in Jilin province were analyzed.The questionnaire survey results on the satisfaction of pig insurance were visualized by descriptive statistical analysis,then the factors that affect the satisfaction of pig insurance were further discussed by constructing an ordered logistic regression model.The results indicated that the satisfaction degree of pig insurance in Jilin province was subjected to 9 factors including that the amount of pigs,the ability of preventing and controlling disease,the awareness of insurance,the level of understanding pig insurance,the extent of the premium subsidies,the claims process,the attitude of the insurance company service,insured amount and the coverage of insuring responsibility and so on,and the effects are positive.Chapter 5,the problems of pig insurance in Jilin province based on the perspective of satisfaction.The problems are discovered from the results of questionnaire survey and empirical analysis.Chapter 6,conclusions and suggestions.The conclusions of this paper are summarized,and some suggestions are put forward to improving the satisfaction of pig insurance in Jilin province.The innovation of this paper lies in the research's contents.In previous studies,few are on the related reports on the satisfaction of pig insurance.So this paper conducts empirical research from the perspective of the satisfaction and influencing factors of pig insurance.It enriches the research field and depth of pig insurance.
