Effects Of The Compound Of Macleaya Cordate Extracts And Acidifiers On Performances Of Weaned Piglets And Lactating Sows

Three experiments were conducted to study effects of the compound of macleaya cordata extracts and acidifiers(MCEAC)on performances of weaned piglets and lactating sows in order to develop antibiotic substitutes.In order to study the preparation process of MCEAC and improve the mixing uniformity of the macleaya cordata extracts(MCE)in MCEAC.This experiment included that using dissolved spray method and orthogonal test,taking the mixing uniformity of MCE as the reference index,optimizing the process spray flow rate(10 mL/min),the speed of coating pan(15 r/min)and the atomizing pressure(0.15 MPa).As a result,the mixing uniformity was reached 98.1%,which was 41.2% higher than that of the direct mixing method and 3.3% higher than that of the feed additive industry standard.The results indicated that: the MCEAC prepared by the optimized process had high mixing uniformity and met the requirements of feed additive industry standard on mixing uniformity.In order to study the effects of the MCEAC on growth performance of piglets,A total of 120 weaned pigs were allotted to 4 treatments(3 replicate pens per treatment with 10 pigs per pen)for a 30-day trial.Dietary treatments were: a basal diet(CON),basal diet + 3000 mg/kg the MCEAC product,basal diet +1.2 mg/kg the MCE product and basal diet + 200 mg/kg the antibiotic colistin(ANT).The results of the feeding experiments showed as follows: Compared with the control group,the average daily feed intake(ADFI)and the average daily gain(ADG)of piglets fed MCEAC were increased by 8.77%(P<0.05)and 15.12%(P<0.05),respectively.The F/G and the diarrhea rate of the MCEAC group were decreased by 5.42%(P<0.05)and 47.48%(P<0.05),respectively.The content of albumin of the MCEAC group was increased by 13.07%(P < 0.05),The contents of urea nitrogen,glutamic-oxalacetic transaminas and glutamic-pyruvic transaminase were decreased by 12.24%(P < 0.05),9.76%(P < 0.05)and 15.70%(P < 0.05),respectively.The apparent digestibility of total energy of the MCEAC group was increased(P<0.05)significantly.Compared with the MCE group,ADG of the MCEAC group was increased by 8.59%(P < 0.05).The F/G and the diarrhea rate of the MCEAC group were decreased by 3.68%(P<0.05)and 20.24%(P<0.05),respectively.The apparent digestibility of total energy of the MCEAC group was increased by 2.07%(P<0.05).Compared with the ANT group,ADFI and ADG of the MCEAC group were increased by 6.35%(P<0.05)and 10.12%(P<0.05),respectively.The F/G and the diarrhea rate of the MCEAC group were decreased by 3.09%(P<0.05)and 22.16%(P<0.05),respectively.The content of albumin of the MCEAC group was increased by 6.56%(P < 0.05).All the above results of this experiment showed that: supplementation with the MCEAC could improve the performance of weaned piglets and could be used as an alternative to antibiotics in the diets of weaned piglets.In order to study the effects of MCEAC on the performance of lactating sows,selected 30 antenatal sows allotted to 2 treatments(3 replicate pens per treatment with 5 sows per pen)for a 35-day trial.Dietary treatments were: a basal diet(CON),basal diet + 3000 mg/kg the MCEAC product.The results of the feeding experiments showed as follows: supplementation with the MCEAC could improve the net weight of weaning piglets by 15.48%(P < 0.05),decreased the diarrhea rate of piglets by 30.14%(P < 0.05).The incidence rate of uterine infection and constipation in lactating sows of the MCEAC group were decreased by 56.18%(P < 0.05)and 59.17%(P < 0.05),respectively.The rate of 7-day oestrus of lactating sows in the MCEAC group was increased by 42.08%(P < 0.05).All the above results of this experiment showed that: supplementation with the MCEAC could improve the performance of lactating sows.All the above results showed that the compound(MCEAC)was prepared by this method,The mixing uniformity conformed to the feed additive industry standard,supplementation with the MCEAC could significantly improve the growth performance of weaned piglets,the effects of which were better than that of the MCE and the antibiotic.Supplementation with the MCEAC could also significantly improve the performance of lactating sows.
