With the rapid development of the social economy,China’s requirements for ecological environment construction have been further improved,and the flowers nursery stock industry has also ushered in an unprecedented opportunity for development.However,due to the low level of mechanization of breeding and planting of flowers nursery stock,the industrial development has been restricted to a certain extent.Therefore,it is of great scientific significance and application value to study the mechanical equipment for cutting planting of flowers nursery stock and its key technology.In this paper,willow cutting was taken as the research object.In view of the fact that the cutting operation of willow in our country mainly adopts the way of the manual feeding at present,which has a series of problems,such as high labor cost,high labor intensity,low operation efficiency and so on.According to the forestry requirements of cutting willow branches and following the principle of combining forestry machinery with forestry,an automatic cutting willow feeding device which could effectively realize the functions of discharging,picking and feeding willow branch was designed.The kinematics modeling,parameter optimization,virtual simulation of the picking mechanism and bench tests of the feeding device were also carried out.The main contents and results of this paper are as follows.1)The research status,working principle and application characteristics of automatic cutting machinery and automatic feeding device for flowers and seedlings at home and abroad were analyzed.It was concluded that the problem of automatic picking and feeding was urgently required to be solved in domestic cuttings machinery,and the research contents of the automatic feeding device for cutting willow branches were put forward.2)The agronomic requirements of the willow cuttings were analyzed,the diameter and the length of the cuttings were measured and the buds on cuttings were counted,which provided a reasonable basis for the subsequent design of the automatic feeding device for cutting willow branch.The overall scheme of the automatic feeding device for cutting the willow branches was proposed,and the three key mechanisms of the device,the discharging mechanism,the picking mechanism for willow branch and the intermittent movement mechanism were analyzed and optimized.3)The kinematics model and optimization design model of the willow branch picking mechanism were established,the computer aided analysis and optimization software based on VB software was developed.At the same time,the parameter value range was determined by analyzing the influence of the mechanism parameters on the motion trajectory and motion characteristics of the picking mechanism.The parameter optimization of the picking mechanism was realized by using the genetic algorithm toolbox in Matlab software,and the kinematics characteristics of the optimized material taking mechanism were studied.4)Three-dimensional solid modeling of the willow branch picking mechanism of the automatic cutting willow feeding device was built.The virtual prototype of the picking mechanism was constructed to perform kinematics simulation.The results of kinematics simulation of the displacement and velocity curves of the picking mechanism was basically consistent with that of theoretical analysis,which verified the correctness of the theoretical model and design results of the picking mechanism.The design and analysis of the other key components of the automatic feeding device were also completed.5)The parts processing and assembly of the automatic cutting willow feeding device were completed and the test bench for the device was developed.The automatic cutting willow feeding tests of the physical prototype were conducted.The movement trajectory of the execution component of the picking mechanism was recorded by the camera.The test and theoretical motion trajectory of the picking mechanism are basically consistent,and the automatic feeding device has a high feeding efficiency of 60 plants/min,which verifies the feasibility of the automatic cutting willow feeding device.
