Researching the mini-type sugarcane harvester has great meaning to accelerate mechanization application in sugarcane harvester and enhance our country's competition in the world. This thesis is the base of National Natural Science Foundation------the key technology study of sugarcane harvester aptitude design system based on knowledge. Its purpose is innovating the cane-end cutting mechanism using virtual prototype technology, setting up 3D Pro/E model and running the kinematics and dynamics simulation basing on virtual prototyping technology to prove the designed mechanism, looking for the better parameters of the end-cutting tool by physical experiment and making dynamic analysis to the cutting mechanism according the selected parameters. This thesis includes hereinafter work:First: Innovative designing the cane-end cutting mechanism based on the research to previous work, measure and analysis for the growth and itself characteristics of cane.Second: The method about how to model the virtual cane is discussed which is suitable for the end-cutting simulation. According to the theory about soft connection, at last the cane model which is composed by several short beam and soft connection is selected. The flow simulation and analysis for one cane is carried out based on the cane model and the movement parameters got in the cane-cutting experiment with the software ADAMS. The contact force between the cane and the cutter-piece is got which is nearer to the cane-cutting experiment conclusion. Diffluence simulation is also run for several canes which is utilized to validate the diffiuence pole in the upper mentioned mechanism. Finally, the static intensity analysis is made for the designed up-lift shoulder.Third: The experiment equipments are designed for end-cutting experiment with the one cutter-disk, according to the designed end-cutting mechanism. In order to select better end-cutting tool, comparison is made among several different end-cutting tools in the form of disk; It obtains the best cutting parameter combination and the factors having notable effect, the maximum expending power practically for one piece of cane and the force needed by end-cutting, select appropriate motor-driver by analyzing the data in one cutting-disk's orthogonal experiment.Finally: While the end-cutting mechanism running, the vibration of the assembly parts which composed the end-cutting mechanism will occur for the cutting resistance. Dynamic analysis for the cutter-piece and cutter-disk is carried out according to the vibration theory with the finite element software ANSYS. By calculating the dynamic natural frequency for each sub-structure, vibration security check-up is done. Some measures are brought forward about how to enhance the resist-vibration property of the cutter-piece and cutter-disk.
