Engineering occupies a very large proportion in higher education,which is not only the key object of the development of engineering colleges,but also the important content of the construction of comprehensive colleges and characteristic colleges.In2017,China launched "the Emergent Engineering" program,which not only develops a number of new engineering majors,but also promotes the upgrading of traditional engineering majors.The undergraduate specialty of agricultural engineering is the applied traditional engineering specialty which serves agricultural rural development with engineering technology.Most agricultural colleges and universities have this kind of specialty.The goal of professional training is the general expectation and basic requirement of the specialty to train its talents.The research of undergraduate specialty of agricultural engineering is an important supplement to the research and practice of the Emergent Engineering,and can also provide guidance for the training of new engineering talents who serve the development of agricultural countryside.Based on the background of the construction of the Emergent Engineering subject,this study closely revolves around the theme of "training goal of undergraduate specialty of agricultural engineering ",and follows the research idea of " theoretical discussion-background combing-contextuality analysis-current situation analysis-experience reference-strategy suggestion ".In addition to thread theory,this study can be divided into six parts.The first part is the discussion on the theoretical basis of the training goal of agricultural engineering undergraduate specialty,which is composed of the second chapter.On the basis of defining the basic concepts of "the Emergent Engineering department "," agricultural engineering undergraduate specialty" and "undergraduate specialty training goal ",the elements and theoretical basis of undergraduate specialty training goal are discussed.It is believed that the two main viewpoints in factor theory," moral education,intellectual education,physical education " and " knowledge,ability and quality ",have both advantages and disadvantages,and the theoretical basis of the training goal of undergraduate specialty in agricultural engineering should adhere to the dialectical unity of human all-round development theory,social development and individual development,and the dialectical unity of theory of specialized education and general education.The second part is the history and the goal exploration of the undergraduate specialty development of agricultural engineering in China,which is composed ofChapter 3.This study divides the historical context of the undergraduate specialty development of agricultural engineering in China into the initial stage before the founding of New China,the stage of blocking and slowing down from the founding of New China to the pre-reform and opening up,the stage of conventional development after reform and opening up,the stage of transformation and upgrading under the current background of the Emergent Engineering,and explores features of the training goal in each stage.The third part is an analysis of the basic connotation of the training goal of agricultural engineering undergraduate specialty,which is composed of Chapter 4.Based on content analysis,this study uses Nvivo qualitative material analysis software to analyze 50 samples of 25 colleges and universities in China.It is found that in the basic connotation of the training goal of undergraduate specialty of agricultural engineering,the talent type emphasizes the high-level compound type,the work field mainly focuses on the traditional agricultural field and the industrial field,the work link mainly the front and middle end of the industrial chain,the moral goal description is abstract and general,the ability goal emphasizes the general balance,the knowledge goal emphasizes the professional foundation.The fourth part is a survey of the current situation of undergraduate training objectives in agricultural engineering,which is composed of Chapter 5 Based on the questionnaire survey and interview method,this study investigated the educational expectations and self-perceived educational gains of college graduates in the sample,as well as the evaluation of teachers' performance of graduates and the evaluation of the standardization and maneuverability of the training goal itself.This study holds that the training goal of undergraduate specialty of agricultural engineering in China mainly has the following problems: some colleges and universities have some imbalance in value orientation,standardization and maneuverability need to be further improved,there is a certain homogeneity,the leading role to the development of the Emergent Engineering needs to be strengthened,and the supporting links need to be further strengthened.The fifth part is to the domestic and foreign agricultural engineering undergraduate specialty training goal experience reference,by the 6th chapter.On the basis of analyzing the reform trend of the training goal of agricultural engineering undergraduate specialty at home and abroad and the reform case of Purdue University,this study draws the enlightenment to the training goal of agricultural engineeringundergraduate specialty under the background of the Emergent Engineering: lay out agriculture and biological system engineering talent training ahead of time;develop interdisciplinary education to support compound talent training goal;promote the diversified development of agricultural engineering talents;strengthen the coordinated development of government,school and enterprise;develop large-scale training goal and individualized training goal.The sixth part is the countermeasures and suggestions to optimize the training goal of agricultural engineering undergraduate specialty under the background of the Emergent Engineering,which is composed of chapter 8.This chapter puts forward three suggestions: facing the common requirements of the Emergent Engineering at the macro level,based on the realistic basis of the training goal;grasping the characteristics of the university and the subject at the meso level,optimizing the basic connotation of the training goal;doing well at the micro level,realizing the descriptive,distinguishable,measurable,evaluable and achievable professional training goal.Under the background of the Emergent Engineering,the training goal of undergraduate specialty of agricultural engineering is the key guide to train new talents of agricultural engineering,which needs the coordinated development of government,school and enterprise.This research hopes that through the research on the training goal of the undergraduate specialty of agricultural engineering under the background of the Emergent Engineering,the government,school and enterprise organizations in the field of agricultural engineering will pay attention to and think about the related problems,promote the construction of new engineering subject in the undergraduate specialty of agricultural engineering,and train the new talents of agricultural engineering that serve the development of agricultural countryside.
