The mostkeen competition of21st century is the talents’competition. The talents are the fundamental power to promote the social development. With increasing concerns of the world ecological environment, the rapid development of global economy and the frequent innovation of emerging technologies, the domestic forest engineering industry confronts many great opportunities and also tremendous pressure at the same time, which raise the requirements of forestry engineering technical talents. In order to realize the value of the emerging technologies, a great number of well-qualified technical talents of forestry engineering are needed urgently. The undergraduate advanced education as the main place in cultivating the high qualified technology talents, should take the responsibilities. But by the investigations of some relevant forestry engineering firms, we know that in terms of the capacity requirements, there is a big gap between the forestry engineering enterprises and the graduates. This issue can be attributed to the irrational training objectives of the undergraduate education. To make the training objectives meet the requirements of society, the author investigate three famous forestry engineering firms to find what knowledge and skills are needed for the technological staff of forestry engineering by the methods of questionnaires and interviews. In conclusion,30factors are needed by the forestry engineering enterprises. Finally, according to the findings, some suggestions are put forward to reform the current training goals of forestry engineering technological talents in undergraduate education.
