A Taxonomic Study Of The Eriophyoidea From Jilin Province Of China(Acari: Eriophyoidea)

Eriophyoid mites are herbivorous mites that are widely distributed worldwide.They are agriculturally important as pests of crops and gardens plants.Jilin Province of China has diverse flora and fauna,but there are not any systematic investigation of its Eriophyoid mite species.This dissertation is a comprehensive study on the Eriophyoidea of Jilin Province.It establishes a systematic framework for the study of Eriophyoid mites of Jilin,and provides knowledge to facilitate the protection of mite species diversity.The results of classification are mainly as follows:1.In total,there are 43 species(24 genera,3 families)have been recorded,that account for 4.06%(43/1086)of the Eriophyoidea of China,this study described 2 new species,18 new record species in Jilin Province.New species: Leipothrix arguta sp.nov.on Actinidia arguta(Siebold & Zucc.)Planch.ex Miq.(Actinidiaceae);Phyllocoptes maackii sp.nov.on Euonymus maackii Rupr.(Celastraceae).New record species in Jilin Province: Setoptus parviflorae Kuang,1998 on Pinsu parviflora Sieb.et Zucc.(Pinaceae);Nalepella pini Kuang & Luo,2005 on Pinus sp.L.(Pinaceae);Nothopoda mytibariae Kuang & Feng,1990 on Mytibaria laosensis Lec.(Hamamelidaceae);Eriophyes spireae(Nalepa),1893 on Spiraea salicifolia L.(Rosaceae);Aceria abalis Keifer,1940 on Arcemisia sp.(Compositaee);Spinaetergum adinae Hong & Kuang,1989 on Alnus cremastogyne Burk.(Betulaceae);Epitrimerus integrae Xue,Song & Hong,2007 on Salix integra Thunb.(Salicaceae);Epitrimerus sabinae Xue & Hong,2005 on Sabina chinensis(L.)Antoine(Cupressaceae);Phyllocoptes pyri Kuang & Hong,1992 on Pyrus sp.(Rosaceae);Phyllocoptes sorbariae Kuang & Hong,1989 on Sorbaria sorbifolia.(L.)A.Braun(Rosaceae);Vittacus humuli Xue,Song & Hong,2005 on Humulus scandens(Lour.)Merr.(Moraceae);Aculus huangzhongensis Kuang,2000 on syringa oblata Lindl.(Oleaceae);Aculops laevigatae(Hassan),1928 on Salix sp.L.(Salicaceae);Aculops saussureae Song,Xue & Hong,2006 on Saussurea polycephala Hand.-Mazz.(Compositaee);Neotetra sophorae Lin & Kuang,2001 on Sophora japonica L.(Leguminosae);Tetra guiyangensia Kuang & Hong,1989 on Salix sp.L.(Salicaceae);Tetra heilongjiangensis Kuang,1995 on Rhamnus davurica Pall.(Rhamnaceae);Diptacus lonicerae Kuang,2001 on Lonicera japonica Thunb.(Caprifoliaceae).2.The morphological characteristics of 32 species(collected by the author)of eriophyoid mite in the genera family of Jilin province were described in detail.The characteristic map of eriophyoid mite was measured and plotted.3.It is compiled and listed eriophyoidea families,subfamilies,tribes,genus and species in Jilin Province.All holotypes specimens discussed in this dissertation were deposited at the Jilin Agricultural University Mites Laboratory.
