| Echium(Echium vulgare L.)is a herbaceous plant that integrates economic value,medicinal value and ornamental value.The seed contains a variety of fatty acids,which can prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases,etc.At the same time,honey produced by Echium’s flowers as a honey source is rich in nutrition;and the ornamental value of Echium comes from its flowering period of up to 3 months and rich colors.As a plant with multiple economic benefits,Echium can play its due role in the construction of gardens and beautiful villages.However,at present,the application of Echium ’s flowers is very few,especially in gardens as flower belts,seas of flowers have not been involved;the physiological and biochemical reactions produced by the combination of Echium and other garden plants have not been studied.In this experiment,the aqueous extract from leaves of Echium was used to Sunflower(Helianthus annuus L.),Zinnia(Zinnia elegans Jacq.),Cosmos(Cosmos bipinnata Cav.),Cornflower(Centaurea cyanus L.),and Marigold(Tagetes erecta L.).The effects of seed germination and seedling growth of five composite plants were studied.The allelopathic effect of the aqueous extract of the leaves of Echium on the compositae was provided to provide scientific theoretical basis for the matching cultivation with other plants in the garden.The results are as follows:1.The low-concentration aqueous extract from leaves of Echium promoted the germination potential,germination rate,germination index,seedling length,and root length of the five recipient plants to varying degrees,and inhibited it at high concentrations.At a concentration of 0.04g/m L,the germination rate of Sunflower is the most obvious than that of the control(ck),which is an increase of 29.58%,and the seedling and root length of Cosmos is more obvious than that of the control(ck),increased by 40.18% and 38.13%;at a concentration of 0.06g/m L,the germination rate of Zinnia was most obvious than that of the control(ck),an increase of 23.11%.At the same time,the seedling and root length of Zinnia had the most promoting effect than the control(ck)obviously,increased by 40.43% and 35.95%.2.During the period of seedling,at a concentration of 0.04g/m L,The activity of SOD and POD of the five recipient plants are the most significant,and the contents of MDA in the five recipient plants reached the lowest value.The content of proline of Cosmos higher than the control(ck)at the concentration of 0.1g/m L,and the rest was lower than the control(ck)in the range of 0.02g/m L-0.1g/m L;at the concentration of 0.02g/m L,the effects of soluble protein content of Sunflower,Zinnia,Cosmos,and Marigold were significantly higher than those of the control(ck),and Zinnia is the most significant,an increase of 29.70%.3.During the period of potting,the plant height and stem thickness of Sunflower,Zinnia and Cornflower were most significantly promoted at a concentration of 0.04g/m L,which increased respectively by 21.09% and 24.84%,20.77% and 23.07%,24.07% and 22.89%.The effects on the SOD and POD of the five recipient plants all showed low promotion and high suppression.Among them,at a concentration of 0.02g/m L,the POD activity of Cornflower increased by 101.29% compared to the control(ck).4.According to the correlation analysis of the recipient plants,the SOD and POD contents of the five recipient plants showed a very significant positive correlation between the period of seedling(P <0.01),and the SOD and POD of Sunflower showed a significant correlation during the potting period relationship(P <0.05),the SOD and POD of the remaining four recipient plants are very significantly related(P <0.01),which shows that the changes in the content of SOD and POD in the five recipient plants are similar.The two can work together.The three recipient plants of Sunflower,Cornflower and Marigold have a positive correlation between MDA and proline,and Sunflower has a very significant correlation(P <0.01),which shows that MDA and proline work synergistically in the three recipient plants of Sunflower,Cornflower and Marigold.5.From the RI,it can be concluded that: Within the concentration range of 0.02g/m L-0.06gm/L of aqueous extract promotes five recipient plants,and the order of allelopathic effect from strong to weak is: Zinnia>Cornflower>Sunflower>Marigold>Cosmos;within the concentration range of 0.08g/m L-0.1gm/L of aqueous extract has inhibitory effect on five recipient plants,allelopathic effect from strong to weak is: Cornflower>Cosmos>Marigold>Sunflower>Zinnia.It can be seen that the promotion of Zinnia is best when the concentration of water extract from leaves of Echium is low,and the inhibition of Zinnia is least when the concentration is higher.In summary,according to the RI of various indicators,it can be concluded that Zinnia is more suitable for planting with Echium,followed by Sunflower. |
