Diseases and insect pests are an important factor threatening the safety of agricultural planting.Citrus HLB is also known as the terminal illness of citrus. In this paper,Xinfeng County, one of the main production areas of citrus in the South of Jiangxi Province is used as a research area. With the help of questionnaire surveys and gray relational analysis and other relevant analysis methods, this paper attempts to understand the changes in farmers' livelihood response after the citrus HLB disaster, and further explore the impact on the scale of citrus cultivation.Factors, the research results are as follows:(1)The citrus HLB during the 2013-2016 led the large-scale citrus fruit trees felling of,which also caused a sharp decline in citrus production. However, citrus HLB has been effectively controlled and citrus production has gradually resumed. In terms of citrus varieties and ripening,Xinfeng County mainly cultivates medium-ripe navel citrus. On the scale of farming households, the majority of farmers grow on a small scale. The citrus farmers in individual towns and townships grow larger, but the number of farmers is not large.(2)Before the outbreak of HLB,farmers had a stronger willingness to plant citrus when the sales price of citrus was higher; After the outbreak of HLB,farmers with a better economic foundation and stable income are more willing to grow citrus.citrus orchards with a large citrus planting area and multi-piece citrus orchards are more susceptible to HLB infection and have a higher incidence rate. The more small-scale citrus growing farmers, the more towns and villages the more difficult it is to control the HLB epidemic in a short period of time.It can reduce the spread of HLB.(3)Most orange farmers are middle-aged men with low education level. From the analysis of citrus farmers with different education levels,it can be seen that young men with higher education level have a larger planting scale. When the orchard is far away from the family homestead and it is not convenient for citrus management, farmers often establish new residences in the orchard.Orchards are idle or transferred, and citruses are no longer planted;other crops are adapted to local conditions;supplementing and replanting or replanting after trimming is the main way for farmers to respond to the outbreak of HLB.The impact of other people's citrus cultivation on citrus farmers is mainly the infection of pests and diseases. The communication and exchange among citrus farmers, the promotion of agricultural fertilizer stations and the training organized by the government are the main channels for farmers to obtain citrus information.(4)Working and farming are the main types of work of the local population, when conditions permit, farmers often make full use of all favorable resources and environment around them to develop their livelihoods.Farmers close to the center of the county take advantage of the proximity to the sales market to develop vegetable cultivation.Farmers closer to the industrial park are working as part-time farmers.(5)The area of hills and hills rented by farmers, family income status, the number of people working in the household and economic base are highly correlated with the scale of citrus planting, which are the main factors affecting the scale of citrus planting. With sufficient labor and a certain hilly and mountainous area, family income is relatively stable, the positive impact of others' cultivation, the trend of rising prices and a good production development environment can effectively promote farmers to plant citrus. The gender of the person in charge of citrus cultivation has no significant effect on the scale of citrus cultivation.
