Based on the superior traits of mulberry, the rich nutritional content and high nutritional value of mulberry leaves, and the biological functions of selenium.Studying the absorption, transport and enrichment of selenium in mulberry is of important practical significance for developing mulberry-based selenium supplementary food.In this study, soak mulberry seeds by selenite, exogenous selenium application in hybrid mulberry, and selenium content in mulberry garden were investigated. To explore the effects of exogenous selenium on the germination of different mulberry seeds, the law of selenium absorption and transfer and enrichment in mulberry after different concentrations of leaf and root application of selenite and selenate, and the selenium absorption and enrichment of mulberry in Ankang seleniumrich areas. It can provide a theoretical basis for selenium-enriched mulberry products.(1)The treatment with low concentration of selenite can promote the germination of mulberry seeds. The concentration of 0.5 mg/L?2 mg/L is more suitable, and it will not affect the growth of mulberry seeds.Different varieties of mulberry seeds have different tolerances to selenite, and Luza No.1 showed stronger selenite tolerance, followed by Fengchi,Jisang No.3,and Yuesang No.11.(2)When exogenous roots application are applied to mulberry:100 mg/L is the optimal concentration for root application of selenite. At this concentration, the selenium content in the leaves is the highest, which can reach 10.5 mg/kg.Exogenous root application of selenate is better than that of selenite. At the same concentration, more selenium can be enriched in various parts of the mulberry. Therefore, root application of selenate 100 mg/L can increase selenium content in mulberry leaves. It can reach 36.07 mg/kg.(3)When exogenous leaf application are applied to mulberry:when selenite was applied to leaves,as the concentration of exogenous spray increased, the selenium content in various parts of mulberry trees showed a significant positive correlation. When the external concentration reached 200 mg/L,the leaf selenium content reached a maximum of 43.73 mg/kg.Compared with the root treatment group,it was found that in order to enrich the selenium of mulberry leaves, comparison of the best effect of each treatment group were: leaf application of selenate 200 mg/L>leaf application of selenite 200 mg/L>root application of selenate 100 mg/L>root application selenite 100 mg/L.(4)It takes longer(approximately three weeks)for exogenous selenite to be applied at low concentrations(10 mg/L,20 mg/L)to be absorbed by mulberry leaves.Exogenous selenite with high concentration(50 mg/L,100 mg/L,200 mg/L)can increase the content of selenium in mulberry leaves after one week. The selenium content in the low-level(10 mg/L,20 mg/L)exogenous selenate treatment group increased slowly during the first three weeks and increased sharply in the fourth week. One week after applying high concentration(50 mg/L,100 mg/L)selenate,the selenium content in mulberry leaves can be significantly increased.Three weeks after the leaf was applied at a higher concentration(200 mg/L),the selenium content of mulberry leaves began to stabilize.(5)The application of appropriate concentrations of selenite and selenate can increase the content of soluble sugar, total protein, and total amino acids in mulberry leaves significantly, but when the concentration reaches 50 mg/L,the content begins to decrease significantly.(6)According to the selenium-enriched food standard in Ankang City, the mulberry buds and mulberry leaves of most mulberry gardens in Shiquan County(outside the extremely low selenium area)meet the requirements and can be used for the development of selenium-rich foods. The selenium content in the mulberry tree is in the order of bud, leaf, branch and root.Under different soil selenium concentrations, selenium enrichment in different parts of the mulberry tree is also different. The higher the selenium concentration in the soil, the more the selenium content in the mulberry buds is higher than that in leaves, branches and roots. The selenium content of mulberry buds and mulberry leaves in mulberry gardens in areas with high selenium is significantly higher than that in mulberry gardens with low selenium content. In areas with extremely high selenium content in the soil, the selenium content in mulberry buds can reach 0.62 mg/kg,and the selenium content in mulberry leaves can reach 0.32 mg/kg,all of which can meet the Ankang selenium-rich food standard. The investigation found that most of the selenium was transferred to the mulberry leaves or shoots after being absorbed in the mulberry tree. The higher the selenium content in the soil, the higher selenium content in mulberry, which was similar to the partial results of exogenous selenium.(7)Comprehensive consideration, the selenium content in mulberry leaves and the nutrient composition of mulberry leaves can be increased by applying selenium from exogenous leaf application.Applying exogenous 100 mg / L selenate to the leaves not only enriched the mulberry leaves in the short term, but also increased the content of the main nutrients of the mulberry leaves appropriately. It is worth noting that although the selenium content in the mulberry tree has increased significantly in the study, the separation of effective selenium needs further testing, and the stability of selenium in the processing and preparation of selenium-rich mulberry products needs follow-up investigation. As food development,it needs to be supported to ensure safe consumption.
