Clinical Significance Of Serum IL-6 In Maintenance In Hemodialysis With Chronic Periodontitis

Objective: To investigate the level of serum IL-6 and its significant in maintenance hemodialysis(MHD)patients with chronic periodontitis(CP).Method: 30 MHD patients with CP were included in to the MHD+CP,and 30 patients without CP were randomly selected into the MHD group,and 30 healthy person with age and sex-matched MHD patients were included into the control group,the serum IL-6 levels and periodontal index(PD?AL?BI?CI)were compared.Results: the MHD+CP,MHD and CP groups compared with HP group :AL?PD?BI?CI in the MHD+CP,MHD and CP groups were significantly higher than the HP group,the difference was of statistically significant(P<0.05).BI?CI in the MHD group were higher than the HP group,the difference was of statistically significant(P<0.05).AL?PD in the MHD +CP group were higher than the CP group,the difference was of statistically significant(P<0.05).AL?PD?BI?CI in the MHD+CP group were significantly higher than the MHD group,the difference was of statistically significant(P<0.05).The serum Ikin 6L-6 in MHD+CP group were significantly higher than the MHD group,the difference was of statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The micro-inflammation is prevalence in MHD patients,and the serum IL-6 plays an important role in the development of chronic periodontitis in MHD patients.
