Effect Of PEG At Different Times On Capsule Endoscopy Results

Objective : To observe the effects of different gastrointestinal tract preparation methods with PEG as the major cleaning agent on the result of capsule endoscopy.Methods:Sixty patients who will have the check by capsule endoscopy were randomly divided into three groups.All three groups take 10% Methyl silicone oil 15 ml at the beginning of the examination,Group 1 included 20 cases,who take PEG 137.12 g dissolved in 2L water 6 hours before the capsule endoscopy,After the capsule entered the small intestine,PEG 1L(PEG68.56g)was taken.Group 2 included 20 cases,after the capsule entered the small intestine,the oral was PEG 137.12 g.Control group also include 20 cases,they take the PEG 137.12 g dissolved in 2L water 6 hours before the capsule endoscopy.Comparing the cleanliness of intestinal and colon between the three kinds of intestinal preparation,the diagnostic yield of diseases and the time of capsule endoscopy through the pylorus and the ileocecal valve was analyzed.Results:The colon cleanliness of the group 1 and the group 2 was better than the control group,and had statistical significance(P<0.05).The time of the capsule small intestine passage was shorter than that of the control group,but there was no significant difference.There was no statistical difference between the detection rate of diagnostic yield and the time of gastric passage.Conclusion:the methods in group 1 and 2 can obtain relatively ideal colonic cleanliness,they are the better way to prepare capsule endoscopy gastrointestinal tract,In especial of group 2,worthy of clinical promotion.
