Development Of A Wearable Multifunctional Neiguan Press Instrument

Objective:This research aims at combining the traditional Chinese medicine therapy with modern technology,develop a wearable multifunctional neiguan press instrument.Provide a new way for cardiovascular disease prevention and treatment,and living alone daily health care,promote the popularization and application of traditional Chinese medicine therapy.Methods:This research is divided into two parts.The first part is the clinical needs questionnaire of the instrument.The second part is the design and development of the instrument.1 The questionnaire is divided into doctors and patients edition,This questionnaire includes four aspects:the popularization of TCM on disease prevention and treatment;the popularization of acupoint massage therapy;the demand of medical health care equipment and the new instrument.through the network and the field to send questionnaire,and data are collected into the Excel form for analysis.2 The design of the instrument include: implementation of the software and the hardware system,hardware development contains the control system and the core module selection and development,circuit design and component selection of three parts.The software application includes three parts of the mobile terminal,the PC and the server side.Results:1 Through the survey of 422 elderly patients over 40 years old,cardiovascular disease patients and 120 clinicians,it is found that acupoint massage therapy is widely used in clinical practice,and the demand for the product is high.2 Based on the survey results,we successfully developed a wearable multifunctional Neiguan press instrument.The instrument can reduce the amount oflabor and promote the popularization of the traditional treatment method,at the same it can monitor the vital signs(heart rate,oxygen saturation),and can start the pressing function of the Neiguan point according to the changes of the vital signs.A new method of daily health monitoring and unexpected accident disposal for solitary and empty nesters is proposed.Conclusions:Based on the study of acupressure,fully integrated with modern medical technology,the instrument successfully developed which can provide a new way for cardiovascular disease prevention and treatment,and living alone daily health care,promote the popularization and application of traditional Chinese medicine therapy.
