Objective Compared of the main chemical components,scavenge free radicas and antibacterial effect of chrysanthemum essential oil and floral water.Definited difference of content and biological activity of chrysanthemum essential oil and floral water in different fields of the same variety;Afford the reference for depth developent of chrysanthemum.Methods Used GC-MS to analyse the chemical components of chrysanthemum essential oil and floral water;Used filter method to analyse the antibacterial and bactericidal ability on five bacterias;The determination of eliminating free radicals to analyse antioxidant capacity.Result The determination of GC-MS on chrysanthemum essential oil found that there were great differences among main components of chrysanthemumessential oil in different fields.D-Limonene and Limonene could be indicators for the locality identification of Heilongjiang chrysanthemum and Xinjiang chrysanthemum,most of chrysanthemum essential oil were olefin compounds,so as chrysanthemum floral water.There was almost no difference among main components and content of chrysanthemum floral water in different fields that D-Limonene were main components.The determination of filter method on chrysanthemum essential oil found that chrysanthemum essential oil had certain antibacterial activity on escherichia coli,bacillus subtilis,staphylococcus albus,staphylococcus aureus,and there was obvious change on antibacterial activity with different concentration of essential oil.However there was no antibacterial activity on pseudomonas aeruginosa whether essential oil of Heilongjiang or Xinjiang.So Limonene was stronger than D-Limonene on antibacterial activity,that Heilongjiang chrysanthemum was stronger than Xinjiang chrysanthemum on antibacterial activity.Chrysanthemum floral water in low concentration was weeker than essential oil on antibacterial activity,but there was obvious antibacterial activity in pure floral water.The determination of ability to eliminate free radical found that chrysanthemum essential oil had obvious antioxidant capacity on DPPH·clearance and total reducing power,especially Heilongjiang was stronger than Xinjiang Chrysanthemum.Chrysanthemum floral water was also appreciable impact on eliminating free radical,antioxidant capacity order was·OH>DPPH·>O2-·,result that Heilongjiang was stronger than Xinjiangchrysanthemum floral water.Conclusions olefin compounds were main components in Heilongjiang chrysanthemum and floral water,both them has significant role on antibacterial activity and antioxidant capacity.It suit to be comprehensive utilization and depth developent of value on Heilongjiang chrysanthemum.
