Effect Of Chongcao Baoshen Granules On Calcium And Phosphor Metabolism With 5/6 Nephrectomy Rats

Object ive:To observe the effect of ChongCao BaoShen Granul es on renal function,serum calcium,phosphorus and parathyroid hormones in rats with chronic renal failure,and to explore whether ChongCao BaoShenGranulecanimproverenalfunctionandregulatethe metabolism of calcium and phosphorus in rats.Methods:140 male SD rats were weighed and randomly divided into control group（35 rats）,model group（35 rats）,ChongCao BaoShen Granule group（35 rats）and calcitriol group（35 rats）.At the same time,all the four groups were fed with high phosphorus drinking water and common feed.CRF models were made by 5/6 nephrectomy in model group,calcitriol groupandChongCaogroup.Oraladministration:Aftermodeling,ChongCao BaoShen Granule group was given ChongCao BaoShen Granule solution to fill the stomach,calcitriol group was given water solution of calcitriol,control group and model group were given equal amount of distilled water.The general state of rats was observed at the end of 0th,4th,8th,12th weeks after modeling.Serum creatinine（Scr）,blood urea nitrogen（BUN）,24-hour urinary protein,calcium(Ca²⁺),phosphorus(P³⁺)andintactparathyroidhormone（iPTH）weremeasured.The morphological changes of kidney were observed by HE staining.Results:（1）ChongCao BaoShen Granule can reduce Scr,BUN and proteinuria level in CRF rats,which are significantly different from those in model group（P<0.0 1,P<0.0 5）;（2）ChongCao BaoShen Granule can improve serum calcium and phosphorus level in CRF rats,which are significantly different from those in model group（P<0.01,P<0.0 5）;（3）ChongCao BaoShen Granule can effectively reduce the degree of glomerulonitis infiltration renal interstitial fibrosis and glomerular sclerosis.Conclusion:1.ChongCaoBaoShenGranulecanimprovethe general survival state of CRF rats with disorders of calcium and phosp horus metabolism.2.ChongCao BaoShen Granule can reduce the CRF associated calcium and phosphorus metabolism disorders in rats Scr,BUN,iPTH and proteinuria,thus protecting renal function and treatingCRF.3.ChongCaoBaoShenGranulecanimprovethe symptoms of calcium and phosphorus metabolism caused by CRP by increasing serum calciumion content,reducing serum phosphorusion leve.4.ChongCao BaoShen Granule can effectively prevent and treat renal interstitial fibrosis and glomerulosclerosis in CRF rats.
