Objective:Through the treatment of children with chronic tonsillitis combined with adenoid hypertrophy by pecking treatment, compared with the nasal spray hormone momethasone furoate, the effectiveness and feasibility of tonsillitis combined with adenoid hypertrophy in the treatment of children with chronic tonsillitis were objectively evaluated, providing reference for future clinical practice. Methods:This study selected 60 children who were 5-10 years old and met the inclusion criteria. They were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with mometasone furoate nasal spray, nasal spray, once a day,one spray per side of each side(1 spray about 50?g,100?g / d),continuous use for 1 month. The treatment group was treated with tonsil pecking therapy.Specific operation: the child takes the sitting position, opens the mouth, presses the tongue with the tongue depressor, and fully exposes the tonsil.Hold the tonsils and treat the knife, and make a gargle-like action on the tonsils. The depth of each knife is about one millimeter, and each side is 4 to 5 times, with a small amount of bleeding. It is appropriate to spit 2 to 3 blood. The same operation method is used to treat the contralateral tonsils.Fasting within half an hour after treatment.Treatment course: pecking tonsil once a week,4 weeks for a course of treatment.Results:1.Before treatment, general data such as gender, age, course of disease and symptoms were compared between the two groups, and P was > 0.05,which was comparable.2.Comparison of subjective symptoms(nasal obstruction, open mouth breathing, snoring, apnea): the scores of subjective symptoms in both treatment group and control group decreased after treatment(P < 0.05).Comparison between treatment group and control group in nasal symptoms integral improved obviously, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),treatment group snore symptom score improved significantly, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),mouth breathing, apnea and total symptom integral no obvious difference in the twogroups, there was no statistically significant difference(P > 0.05).3.Comparison of tonsil grading: the difference of tonsil grading before and after treatment was significant in the treatment group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).In the control group, there was no significant difference in tonsil grading before and after treatment, and the difference was not statistically significant(P > 0.05).4.Comparison of adenoid grading: there was a significant difference in adenoid grading between the treatment group and the control group after treatment(P < 0.05),and there was no significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P >0.05).Conclusion:Both tonsil pecking therapy and nasal spray hormone momethasone furoate can improve the symptoms of children with chronic tonsillitis and adenoid hypertrophy, and there is no significant difference in the therapeutic effect between the two methods. From the analysis of single symptoms, nasal spray hormone is better than tonsil pecking in improving nasal ventilation.Tonsil pecking therapy is better than nasal spray hormone in improving snoring symptoms. While tonsil pecking treatment can shrink tonsils,it can also shrink adenoids indirectly.Nasal steroids shrink the adenoids, but not the tonsils.
