Clinical Observation Of Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction In Treatment On Blood Stasis Fever After Total Knee Arthroplasty

Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of the Xuefu Zhuyu decoction on the Blood Stasis Fever after total knee arthroplasty.Methods: According to the inclusion criteria of this study,60 patients with low to moderate fever(37.5??T<39.0?)after total knee arthroplasty were included.Patients with fever were divided into observation group and control group according to different treatment schemes after fever.The control group was given warm water bath to cool down.The observation group was given Xuefu Zhuyu granules on the basis of warm water scrubbing bath,one dose a day for 7 consecutive days.The room temperature was measured before operation in both groups,and the highest daily temperature was continuously monitored and recorded 7 days after operation.And Tumor necrosis factor-?(TNF-?)and interleukin-6(IL-6)were dynamically monitored 1 day before operation and 1,3 and 7 days after operation.Both groups of patients completed the evaluation of blood stasis symptoms score on preoperation and postoperation.Results: 28 and 29 cases completed the study according to the regulations in the observation group and the control group.There was no significant difference in age,sex and body mass index between the two groups(P>0.05).1.Laboratory indicators: There was no significant difference in serum TNF-? and IL-6 levels between the two groups at 1 day before operation and 1 day after operation(P>0.05).The levels of TNF-? and IL-6 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group at 3 days and 7 days after operation(P<0.05).2.Daily maximum temperature: There was no significant difference in body temperature between the two groups on the 1 day before operation and the 1 day after operation(P>0.05);the temperature of the observation group was lower than that of the control group on the 2 to 4 day after operation(P<0.01);there was no significant difference in body temperature between the two groups on the 5 to 7 day after operation(P>0.05).3.Blood Stasis symptoms score: After treatment,the blood stasis symptoms score of the two groups were significantly lower than before treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).After treatment,the blood stasis symptoms score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).4.Safety observation: There were no obvious abnormalities indexes in liver function,kidney function and biochemical during the treatment,and no obvious adverse drug reactions in both groups.There were 2 cases of dry mouth and night sweat in the observation group,which were improved after adjusting drug does.Conclusion: The modified Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction for blood stasis fever after total knee arthroplasty can significantly reduce the serum levels of TNF-? and IL-6,improve the score of blood stasis symptoms,and reduce body temperature safely and effectively by alleviating inflammatory reaction.
