[Objective]1.To discuss the correlation between the baseline value of heart rate variability and mental health level of college students in resting state.2.To explore the characteristics of heart rate variability and personality of college students when they are in a state of anxiety.3.To explore the characteristics of heart rate variability and personality of college students when they are depressed.4.To explore the effect of heart rate variability biofeedback technology on Improving the anxiety and depression for college students.[Methods]1.245 college students' HRV data were collected by heart rate variation biofeedback scanner which imported from Germany in resting state. And collected the data of personality and mental health of college students by SCL-90,EPQ,SAS and SDS.2.To analyze the characteristics of heart rate variability(HRV)under anxiety,we selected 60 college students with anxiety according to the scores of the self-rating anxiety scale, and then compared them with 57 healthy students who were picked at random. At this process we mainly through analyzing the time and frequency domain indices such as SDNN,RMSSD,HF,LF,VLF,TP,LF HF,and comparing with the healthy group.3.Through comparing 77 college students with depression who were selected according to the scores of self-rating depression scale with 70 healthy students randomly selected, and mainly through analyzing the time-domain and frequency-domain indices, such as RMSSD,HF,LF,VLF,TP,LF\HF and comparing with healthy students to get the characteristics of HRV in depression.4.53 college students with anxiety and depression were randomly divided into control group and experimental group.Heart rate variability biofeedback technology was used to intervene(twice a week,30 minutes each time).Heart rate variability data,self-rating anxiety scale and self-rating depression scale scores of two groups were be collected six weeks later, and the therapeutic effect was evaluated.[Results]1.HR of college students is positively correlated with anxiety factors(r=0.164,P=0.010);VLF is negatively correlated with interpersonal sensitivity factors(r=-0.184,p=0.004);LF/HF is positively correlated with anxiety factors(r=-0.129,p=0.044);LF is positively correlated with paranoid factors(r=0.132,p=0.040);VLF is negatively correlated with fear factors(r=-0.163,p=0.11),but it is not found that there's some relationship between time-domain indicators and various mental health factors.2.The HR(t=-4.43,P<0.05)of college students that in anxiety state is higher than healthy group, and their difference is significant;time-domain index LgF(t=2.37,P<0.01),LgRMSSD(t=2.89,P<0.01)is lower than healthy group, and the difference between them reaches a very significant level;the frequency domain index LgHF(t=2.65,P<0.01)that in anxiety state is lower than that of healthy group, and the difference is very significant;LgVLF(t=1.98,P<0.05)is higher than that of healthy group and their difference reaches a very significant level;LF/HF(t=-2.79,P<0.01)is higher than that in the healthy group, and the difference reaches a very significant level. The scores of introversion and extroversion of college students in anxiety group is lower than those in healthy group, and the difference reaches significant level(t=2.26,P<0.05);the scores of neuroticism in anxiety group is higher than those in healthy group, the difference reaches a very significant level(t=-7.21,P<0.01);and the scores of psychoticism in anxiety group is higher than those in healthy group, the difference has reached significant level(t=-2.10,P<0.05).3.HR of college students in depression state is higher than that of healthy group, and their difference reaches significant level(t=-5.12,P<0.05);LF/HF of frequency domain index is higher than that of healthy group, and the difference is very significant(t=-3.45,P<0.01).The scores of introversion and extroversion of college students in depression group is lower than those in healthy group, and the difference reaches a very significant level(t=-4.60,P<0.01);the scores of neuroticism in depression group is higher than those in healthy group, and the differences reaches a very significant level(t=-10.78,P<0.01);the scores of psychoticism in depression group is higher than those in healthy group, and the differences reaches a significant level(t=-2.41,P<0.05).4.The scores of SAS and SDS in the control group is-significantly lower than those before 6 weeks(t=3.00,P<0.05),and there is no change in the other indicators;SAS in the experimental group is significantly lower than that before 6 weeks(t=9.44,P<0.01);SDS is significantly lower than that before 6 weeks(t=8.04,P<0.01);LgLF in the experimental group is significantly higher than that before 6 weeks(t=8.04,P<0.01).It reaches a significant level(t=-2.26,P<0.05);in the index of LgTP,the difference between the experimental group and 6 weeks before reaches a significant level(t=t=-2.20,p<0.05).[Conclusion]1.By exploring the correlation between heart rate variability and various factors of SCL-90,the correlation between SCL-90 and heart rate variability index is mainly reflected in the part related to sympathetic nerve, which is related to the characteristics of the main symptoms assessed by SCL-90 scale, and the occurrence of symptoms often accompanies the improvement of the level of sympathetic nerve function.2.The heart rate variability of college students in anxiety state is lower than that of healthy group, which is mainly manifested in the hyperactivity of sympathetic nerve and the decrease of balance of autonomic nervous system.Anxiety college students have obvious neurotic personality characteristics, and are more likely to be emotionally unstable, irritable and agitated than normal people.3.The heart rate variability of college students in depression state is lower than that of healthy group The total tension of sympathetic nerve and vagus nerve decreases, and the balance of autonomic nervous system decreases. The introverted personality of college students in depression is obvious, more introverted and less communicative than that of normal people. At the same time,it has neurotic personality characteristics, emotional instability, sensitivity and so on.4.Heart rate variability and biofeedback technology can be used as one of the ways to improve college students'anxiety and depression Compared with the control group without intervention, not only the scores of depression and anxiety have been reduced to a very significant level, but also the level of heart rate variability has been significantly improved, mainly reflected in the increase of sympathetic and vagal nerve tension, the increase of sympathetic nerve activity, and the increase of total heart rate variability.Strong.5.Heart rate variability(HRV),as a technical means to detect college students'anxiety and depression,is more sensitive to the detection of anxiety than depression.
