ObjectiveThe pathologic diagnosis was the non-muscle invasive bladder cancer(NMIBC),after transurethral resection of bladder tumor operation(TURBT).To compare the effect of Pirarubicin(THP)and Mitomycin C(MMC)to prevent the postoperative recurrence of the non-muscle invasive bladder cancer(NMIBC)by bladder instillation.MethodsThis study collected in February 2012 to February 2015 in Affiliated Hospital of Taishan Medical University urology department for bladder tumor patients, after TURBT and the pathological results were diagnosed with NMIBC stage(T1 or Ta).After excluding the patients who did not meet the standard of this study,68 patients were eligible for the study.68 patients were divided into two groups according to the principle of randomization, after TURBT.Pirarubicin(THP)by bladder instillation was periodically used in the THP group(34 patients),Mitomycin C(MMC)was periodically used in the MMC group(34patients).All the patients with the bladder periodic instillation have the TURBT operation and the operation was used the only one Plasma electroscope. After TURBT,all patients were periodically bladder instillation. The chemotherapeutic effects of the two groups was compared by statistically analyzing the tumor postoperative recurrent rates, recurrent times and adverse drug reaction in the two groups,to guide the bladder instillation after TURBT.ResultsAll patients were followed up for 2 years. The bladder cancer postoperative recurrent rates in the Pirarubicin(THP)group and Mitomycin C(MMC)group were 11.76%(4/34)and 32.35%(11/34)respectively,with significant difference observed(P<0.05).The recurrent times were respectively 17.25±6.65/months and 9.91±5.05/months,with significant difference observed(P<0.05).The bladder stimulation, hematuria and systemic adverse reactions with significant difference observed(P<0.05),but the adverse gastrointestinal reactions without any significant difference observed(P>0.05).ConclusionsThe Pirarubicin(THP)and Mitomycin C(MMC)had the different differences to prevent the postoperative recurrence of the non-muscle invasive bladder cancer(NMIBC)after TURBT operation, the side effect rates of the both drugs by bladder instillation was different differences too.So Pirarubicin(THP)should be recommended to prevent the postoperative recurrence of the non-muscle invasive bladder cancer(NMIBC),after transurethral resection of bladder tumor operation(TURBT).
