The balance of the human body is an important indicator to measure the health of the body.Poor balance and impairment of balance are usually characterized by instability in standing or walking, which can easily cause falls. With the intensification of the aging population,40 million elderly people in our country suffer from falling accidents every year due to the poor balance, which put a lot of pressure on the family and society. Therefore, balance ability evaluation and training have very important social and economic values. However,at this stage, the assessment process of human balance ability is complicated, the training program is single, the related equipment is complicated and expensive, and has poor flexibility. In this paper, based on the existing problems of balance ability evaluation and training at the current stage,a new body balance ability evaluation and training system is developed based on virtual reality technology. The specific work content is as follows:(1)First,according to the reliability, safety, flexibility, and comfort requirements of the human balance ability evaluation and training system, the evaluation design goals of the system that are simple, fast, effective, and analyzing the causes of balance ability impairment, and the training design goal is to fully mobilize the enthusiasm and concentration of patients to actively participate in training. Then, based on virtual reality technology, the overall design idea of the system is proposed, the system architecture is established, and the hardware platform of the system and the human-computer interaction interface are designed and produced by using sensor technology and human-computer interaction technology.(2)According to the above system design goals, first of all, referring to the medical scale, scientifically selected five evaluation actions: standing with eyes open, standing with eyes closed, standing with eyes open on sponge pads, standing with eyes open and looking up,and "draw circle" actions,a balance ability evaluation scheme is designed to lay the foundation for balance ability assessment based on virtual reality technology. Then, the virtual reality technology is used to design three training tasks: "fixed direction of gravity transfer training","center of gravity transfer comprehensive training" and "two-person confrontation training".(3)Adopt COP's trajectory area, average distance, total trajectory length, integration of power spectrum function, sample entropy, maximum Lyapunov exponent, and scale-dependent Lyapunov exponent feature analysis method, perform significant analysis based on experimental data, and propose the overall evaluation characteristic parameters of this system and prove its effectiveness. In addition, based on the above evaluation actions, the characteristic parameters of the influence of vision, proprioception, and vestibular sensation on balance ability were analyzed, correlation analysis was conducted, and their effectiveness was proved, which provided a theoretical basis for finding the reason for the impaired balance ability of the tester. Finally, according to the method of formulating the medical reference value in clinical statistics, the balance ability score standard representing the characteristic value of the population is initially proposed.(4)Based on the design of the experimental plan, complete the evaluation function test and training function test of the system.Carry out actual experiments on the system, and actually test the system operation of five evaluation experiments and three training tasks. The test results show that the system works stably and achieves the expected function.
