Objective:To observe the difference of clinical effect between mountain burning manipulation at Zusanli and routine acupuncture on the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy of lower extremities, explore its therapeutic effect, and provide an effective method for clinical treatment.Methods:60 diabetic patients with peripheral neuropathy of lower extremities were divided into two groups according to the random number table:mountain burning manipulation group and routine acupuncture group,30 cases in each group. All patients were treated with self-management,health education and medication. The routine acupuncture group was treated with routine acupuncture, and the mountain burning manipulation group was treated with mountain burning manipulation at Zusanli point on the basis of routine acupuncture treatment. The patients in the two groups were treated once a day for 40 minutes,6 days a week,1 day off,and 2 weeks as a course of treatment.Observe and compare the CSIT,TCSS score and NCV before and after treatment to evaluate the clinical effect.Results:(1)Before and after treatment, the CSIT,TCSS score and NCV were significantly improved between the two groups(P<0.01).The results showed that both acupuncture methods can improve the clinical symptoms of diabetic peripheral neuropathy in different degrees.(2)After 4 weeks of treatment, the CSIT,TCSS score and NCV were significantly improved between the two groups(P<0.05).The results showed that mountain burning manipulation group was better than the routine acupuncture in improving the clinical symptoms of diabetic peripheral neuropathy.(3)After treatment, the clinical curative effect of the two groups was compared:the clinical recovery rate of the mountain burning manipulation group was 20.00%,the markedly effective rate was 36.67%,and the total effective rate was 8 6.67%;the clinical recovery rate of the routine acupuncture group was 6.67%,the markedly effective rate was 20.00%,and the total effective rate was 73.33%.Through the rank sum test and analysis, the total effective rate between the two groups was significantly different(P<0.05),which indicated that the clinical effect of mountain burning manipulation group on diabetic peripheral neuropathy was significantly better than that of routine acupuncture.Conclusion:1.Both mountain burning manipulation group and routine acupuncture can improve the clinical symptoms of diabetic patients with peripheral neuropathy of lower extremities.2.Mountain burning manipulation at Zusanli is superior to routine acupuncture in improving the motor and sensory function of diabetic patients with peripheral neuropathy of lower extremities.3.Mountain burning manipulation at Zusanli is an effective method to treat diabetic patients with peripheral neuropathy of lower extremities, and its clinical effect is better than that of routine acupuncture.
