Objectives: To observe acupoint reactions of the Liver Meridian(LR)and the Gallbladder Meridian(GB)and corresponding back-shu acupoints in patients of hyperactivity of liver-Yang(HLY)by using acupoint diagnosis;Meanwhile,by differentiating diseases with observing the eye collaterals,to observe the changes of eye collaterals in which corresponding to liver and gallbladder of the patients with Hly,then analyze the correlation between them.In order to strengthen the importance of differentiation of channels and collaterals in clinical practice of acupuncture and moxibustion,as well as to enrich clinical diagnostic methods, improve diagnostic accuracy, and provide beneficial support for guiding prescription points. Methods: This trial included two groups, and eligible subjects were allocated to Hly(experimental group)and healthy people(control group)based on corresponding criteria respectively.Investigated the tenderness points along the superficial running course of LR and GB and that of the related back-shu acupoints.Summarized the distribution rules of the tenderness points, and compared the location, number, pain intensity of tenderness points between the two groups.Detected distribution rules by using statistical approaches like T test,chi-square test, standard chi-square test, and Kruskal-Wallis test, and determined their correlations by using Spearman rank correlation analysis, multiple linear regression, multiple stepwise regression.Results:1.The experimental group and the control group were comparable for baseline of subjects were balanced(P>0.05);The number of tenderness points in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P=0.001);Tenderness occurred more frequently in the experimental group than in the control group in Xingjian(LR2),Zhongfeng(LR4),Zhongdu(LR6),Xiguan(LR7),Ququan(LR8),Yinbao(LR9),Yangbai(GB14),Yuanye(GB22),Zhejin(G B23),Riyue(GB24),Jingmen(GB25),Fengshi(GB31),Xiyangguan(GB33),Qiuxu(GB40)(P<0.05).The degree of tenderness was higher in the experimental group than in the control group in Xingjian(LR2),Taichong(LR3),Zhongfeng(LR4),Zhongdu(LR6),Xiguan(LR7),Ququan(LR8),Yinbao(LR9),Wangu(GB12),Yangbai(GB14),Yuanye(GB22),Zhejin(GB23),Riyue(GB24),Jingmen(GB25),Fengshi(GB31),Zhongdu(GB32),Xiyangguan(GB33),Yanglingquan(GB34),Qiuxu(GB40)(P<0.05).2.The regular pattern of the features of eye collaterals of patients with Hly was as follows: The changes of shape: fuzzy>extension>bifurcation>varicose>eminentia>hypertrophic roots>prolapse; The changes of color: red-yellow>coceine>faint yellow>light-colored>mallow>red-black?grey.3.The result of correlation of acupoints tender point and the changes of eye collaterals, the relationship between the changes of eye collaterals and the number of tenderness points were as folllow: the changes of color(left)> the shape features(left)> the changes of color(right)> the shape features(right)(P<0.001).The Changes in shapes had a greater effect on the number of pain points, which can explain 20.2% of the tenderness.4.The more obvious changes in eye collaterals, the higher the degree of tenderness in Yuanye(GB22),Zhejin(GB23),Riyue(GB24),Jingmen(GB25),Fengshi(GB31),Zhongdu(GB32),Taichong(LR3),Zhongfeng(LR4),Wangu(GB12),Yangbai(GB14)(P<0.05).There was a positive correlation in the degree of tenderness of adjacent acupoints(P<0.05),and in Taichong(LR3),Zhongdu(LR6),Yuanye(GB22),Zhejin(GB23),Riyue(GB24),Fengshi(GB31)(P<0.01).Conclusions:1.The corresponding acupoint tenderness response can be found in the LR and GB and corresponding back-shu acupoint of patients with Hly.The frequency and sensitivity of acupoint tenderness are relatively high in Taichong(LR3),Zhongfeng(LR4),Zhongdu(LR6),Xiguan(LR7),Ququan(LR8),Yangbai(GB14),Yuanye(GB22),Zhejin(GB23),Riyue(GB24),Jingmen(GB25),Fengshi(GB31),Zhongdu(GB32),Yanglingquan(GB34),Qiuxu(GB40),whose sites were concentrated on lateral side of the thorax, head, lateral part of thigh, the lower limb joint of GB,and medial crural of LR.It is suggested that these acupoints are more likely to reflect pathological state of Hly.2.The main changes of eye collaterals in patients with Hly: The shape is dominated by cloudy sclera, eye collateral extension and bifurcation. The color is mainly red-yellow and coceine.3.There is a positive correlation between the degree of changes of eye collaterals and the number of acupoints with tenderness. When the of eye collaterals corresponding to liver and gallbladder change significantly, the acupoint tenderness response is obvious in Yuanye(GB22),Zhejin(GB23),Riyue(GB24),Jingmen(GB25),Fengshi(GB31),Zhongdu(GB32),Zhongfeng(LR4),Taichong(LR3),Wangu(GB12),Yangbai(GB14).4.There was a high correlation among points including Taichong(LR3),Zhongdu(LR6),Yuanye(GB22),Zhejin(GB23),Riyue(GB24),Fengshi(GB31)in patients with Hly.
