Objective:To evaluate the effect of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy on low frequency(60–70 beats/min),intermediate frequency(80–90 beats/min),and high frequency(100–120 beats/min)on the effects of kidney and ureteral calculi.Methods:We searched for randomized controlled trials of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy treatment of kidney and ureteral stones with different frequencies.The language is only Chinese or English,and the time limit is from January 1,2000 to January 1,2020.The meta-analysis was completed using Revman 5.3 provided by Cochrane.Results:A total of 15 references were included,and they involved a total of 2468 cases.1.In terms of stone free rate in the first treatment,the high frequency group was lower than the medium frequency group,OR=0.39,95%CI(0.22,0.68),P=0.0008;the high frequency group was lower than the low frequency group,OR=0.48,95%CI(0.37,0.61),P<0.00001;and there was no significant difference between the medium frequency group and the low frequency group,OR=0.71,95%CI(0.27,1.88),P=0.49.2.In terms of the incidence of complications,there was no significant difference between the high frequency group and the medium frequency group,OR=0.98,95%CI(0.38,2.51),P=0.97.The high frequency group was higher than the low frequency group,OR=1.75,95%CI(1.24,2.47),P=0.001;and the medium frequency group was higher than the low frequency group,OR=1.92,95%CI(1.23,3.01),P=0.004.3.In terms of lithotripsy time,the high frequency group was shorter than the medium frequency group,MD=-6.95,95%CI(-9.81,-4.09),P<0.00001;the high frequency group was shorter than the low frequency group,MD=-22.60,95%CI(-26.55,-18.66),P<0.00001;the medium frequency group was shorter than the low frequency group,MD=-17.54,95%CI(-19.14,-15.94),P<0.00001.4.In terms of the total number of shock waves,there was no significant difference between the high frequency group and the medium frequency group,MD=8.63,95%CI(-48.20,65.46),P=0.77;the high frequency group and the low frequency group,MD=233.56,95%CI(-16.62,483.73),P=0.07;and the medium frequency group and the low frequency group,MD=1344.00,95%CI(-1401.05,4089.05),P=0.34.Conclusion:The stone free rate for the first treatment is better when crushing the stones at medium and low frequencies.,and low frequency lithotripsy can reduce the complication rate of ESWL.High frequency ESWL can shorten the lithotripsy time.There was no significant difference in the total number of shock waves required for the lithotripsy.
